🐾 Pure Winter Magic: Small Group Husky Mushing in Rovaniemi ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - This husky mushing experience was absolutely magical and one of the highlights of our time in Rovaniemi. From the very beginning everything was smooth and well organized — the shuttle was included, and even though it’s about a 40–45 minute drive outside the city, the location is 100% worth it. Snow everywhere, stunning views, and that peaceful Lapland atmosphere that feels unreal. What makes this tour truly special is that you actually get to drive the husky sleigh yourself, which is such an exciting experience (and honestly a little adrenaline too in the best way 😍). You also get plenty of time to pet the huskies, interact with them, and enjoy the whole setting instead of feeling rushed. As a huge dog lover, I really appreciated how well the team cares for the huskies. You can tell they are treated with love and respect — the dogs get proper rest, they’re well fed, and the overall environment feels ethical and professional. They also provide clear instructions to make sure everyone drives safely, and having a small group makes a massive difference — it feels more personal, calm, and enjoyable. To end the experience on a cozy note, they also offered snacks afterwards (sausages, cookies, and warm tea), which was the perfect way to warm up and just take in everything we had just lived. No “meh” moments at all. I would recommend this to anyone: couples, solo travelers, friends, families… it’s a must-do in Lapland.

Husky mushing was fabulous!! - Absolutely amazing experience. A fairly long ride in a van at full capacity felt a little tight but doable. Once at the destination we could stretch out and then enjoy the ride. Having total control of the beautiful huskies felt safe with experienced guides close by. The company do supply all weather attire which is definitely needed. Definitely worth the experience.

Spectacular Husky Tour - We did an amazing husky tour with Parpalandia. It was spectacular from start to finish. While nearly all other tour operators had already closed due to lack of snow (April), Parpalandia was still offering tours. We were picked up from our hotel in Santa Claus Village. While there was hardly any snow in the Santa Claus Village, there was surprisingly good snow at Parpalandia. We received warm clothes and an introduction on how to drive the sled. We were 2 people per sleigh. We could drive the sled ourselves which was a lot of fun. A person on a snow mobile was leading the way. It was a great sleigh ride through varied landscape, mostly light forest. We also did photo stop halfway through and drivers could switch. Back at Parpalandia we had sausages from an open fire grill and a hot drink and cookie. Overall, it was an experience of a lifetime. The staff at Parpalandia was super nice. The huskies were terrific, the nature fabulous, and the sled ride just fantastic. 🐕 🛷. We had great conversations and learned so much, not only about huskies, but also about Finland and its people. Parpalandia also have a beautiful lodge for overnight stays and the whole surroundings are very picturesque. We can whole-heartedly recommend this experience.

Great Husky Mushing experience - We really enjoyed the Husky Mushing experience at Parpalandia on Monday 17th March. They really care for their dogs and provide a great experience including giving us a talk about the dogs and the care that they require. They gave good instructions on how to drive the sledge and it was easy to learn. Highly recommended. Tom and Yvette

Parpalandia dog sledding, Rovaneimi - This experience was awesome. The setting was stunning. The dogs well looked after and we had time with the dogs after the sledding. It was worth the trip out of town to have this experience in an uncrowded pristine environment.

Amazing experience - This is an amazing experience. If you think you might enjoy it, don’t think about it just do it. The dogs and staff were amazing. We were lucky to get great weather which helps but I would do it again if back in the area.

Fun and exciting activity - The tour experience is fun and exciting. Staff given clear instruction before the activity start to get us prepare. We are not sure if these dogs are purebred Huskies, so we can't give a firm comment on this. As a driver, i sweat in the winter while i am controlling these warriors, you can imagine how challenges and excited it is. It was a good activity experience you must join and experience yourself while you visit to the lapland.

Not so impressive. - The husky sled ride was nice but we spent 2 of the 4 hours experience on transit from/to Rovaniemi and the mushy experience in Parpalandia itself was a bit disappointing.
