Great experience! - It was an amazing experience for us! Went about a year back and promised to leave a good review because we were so grateful but forgot about it 😅. We were desperate to see the Northern Lights back then as it was our last night in the Arctic Circle. We had missed the previous few ones as we were sleeping and not alerted by the rest of our tour group. Thus we engaged Velu, and he was extremely knowledgeable, responsive and friendly, making for very easy correspondence! He picked us up right outside our hotel and told us what to bring along just in case. Thanks to him, our 8h trip out to hunt for the Northern Lights did not feel uncomfortable, with adequate rest stops for toilet breaks and some food. And finally, after a long journey, we managed to capture the mesmerising Northern Lights that night. Very very thankful to Velu for making it happen for us.

My experience joining velu’s tour - Velu was amazing, I recommend taking his tour compared to those runned by big companies or cheaper one’s who don’t give refunds.. to avoid paying double. In addition he’s so passionate about the aurora, so he knows literally everything about it & he speaks really good english.. We also went to several spots, although we found the aurora on our first stop.., but he kept on taking me to more places until we found a stronger one. Overall perfect experience

Communication was easy, and hunting for the Aurora felt completely safe with him behind the wheel - he is a trained national wilderness guide besides an expert in northern lights - He knows exactly where to go to ensure a magical experience; if large tour buses or crowds arrived at our spot, Venu didn't hesitate to drive further to guarantee us a private, peaceful view and too wait until we could have a proper Aurora show! He even went above and beyond by offering to pick us up from our location outside the city, rather than making us go to any usual meeting point -even though we were only two of us!To top it all off, he took a fantastic photo of us that absolutely blew our minds!

Most unique and genuine aurora guide in Rovaniemi - Best tour guide for the northern lights you can find in Rovaniemi. Velu only has 5 star reviews, and there is a reason for it. We messaged him on WhatsApp with some questions. He replied very quickly, communication was fantastic, and we booked for the next day. He did the tour that day even though we were the only ones who booked it (bigger company's would cancel or re-schedule if not enough people book) He picked us up and dropped us off at our accommodation outside the city. The tour was fantastic. Velu doesnt take you aurora hunting because is his job. He does it because he absolutely loves it. Gave us lots of information and details about the Aurora's, the science behind it, how to understand the data, and how to move around the weather to get the best views. He doesnt just take you places and hope for the best, he was looking at satellite data, aurora cameras, and weather stations to really chase down the lights in the most professional way, like noone else does. We drove to several beautiful spots, avoiding also big crowds. If a big tourist bus with big groups arrived, we move to another spot. And through all this, we managed to see several beautiful aurora 🤩. He also helped us take some amazing pictures bellow the magic sky lights. And if that wasn't all. At the end of the night, when all other tours and guides considered the night over and left, Velu, with his knowledge and passion, told us to wait and be patient. And waiting in the cold night, when noone was left, magically the skies light up again with the most intense and spectacular aurora, far more amazing than we could have ever imagined. Thank you so much for making us stay longer in the cold night. It was absolutely worth it! If you want a genuine, professional, unique experience that goes that extra step, then this is the tour you need to book. Best of the best. Made our experience absolutely fantastic and special.

Successful last-minute booking - I was originally planning to join an aurora tour with another company in Rovaniemi, but it got canceled, so I had to make a reservation in a hurry. Despite my last-minute inquiry, this company responded quickly and very kindly, which I really appreciated. In the end, I was lucky enough to see the aurora—success! Even before the tour started, the guide showed confident and positive attitude that we would be able to see it, and that gave me a lot of trust, especially after experiencing a cancellation right before. To be honest, when I first saw just a thin line of aurora, I didn’t feel much. But at the next spot, I finally got to see the beautiful borealis, and it truly made the trip worthwhile. Amazing experience! - Velu gave us the most amazing experience! We originally booked with a bigger guaranteed Aurora hunting company, only to get cancelled last minute, 2 nights in a row. We only had one more night in Rovaniemi, and every company we reached out to was canceling their trip due to the weather conditions. We had lost all hope of going on a tour. We happened to message Velu who said he would go all the way to Sweden and could take us last minute. He was so easy and fast with communication (which we found it to be difficult to get in contact with other companies). We ended up seeing the most beautiful light show!
