Highlights
- Hotel New York - The tour begins at Hotel New York, where the history and current role of the hotel will be shared. From this location, there is a fantastic view of the ‘tornado,’ the new Fenix Museum of Migration.
- Erasmus Bridge - The journey continues over the Erasmus Bridge towards the Maritime District, pausing at the Rotterdam War…
- Hotel New York - The tour begins at Hotel New York, where the history and current role of the hotel will be shared. From this location, there is a fantastic view of the ‘tornado,’ the new Fenix Museum of Migration.
- Erasmus Bridge - The journey continues over the Erasmus Bridge towards the Maritime District, pausing at the Rotterdam War Memorial of WWII. Information about the bridge and a brief history of Rotterdam during WWII will be provided.
- Veerhaven - In the Shipping Quarter, a stop will be made at the fountain that once stood in the city center. This distinctive area offers a glimpse of Rotterdam’s pre-war appearance.
- Depot Boymans Van Beuningen - Located in the ‘Museum Quarter,’ this area hosts some of Rotterdam’s most notable museums, linked by the Museum Park. A stop will be made near The New Institute to view the new Art Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen, a recent addition to Rotterdam and the first publicly accessible art depot globally. Feeling excited yet?
- Oude Binnenweg - A 15–20 minute break will be available at De Oude Binnenweg, one of Rotterdam’s oldest shopping streets. The break duration can be adjusted based on the group’s size and needs.
During the break, participants can either stay together at a coffee bar or explore independently. This is a perfect time for socializing, getting recommendations, warming up, cooling down, or using the restroom.
Please note that beverages are not included.
- City Hall Rotterdam - The final stop before returning the bikes will be in front of Rotterdam’s historic city hall.
- Grote of Sint-Laurenskerk - A stop will be made at the square in front of St. Lawrence Church.
- Cube Houses Rotterdam - The iconic yellow Cube Houses are a must-see. The group will stop to discuss their history and take photos.
- Markthal - The Market Hall, opened in 2014, has added to Rotterdam’s fame as a modern indoor market filled with food and vibrant colors. It’s often referred to as the modern Sistine Chapel, and the reason will be revealed!
- De Hef - The tour will continue towards the Kings Harbour Bridge, where a stop will be made to explore its history.

Brilliant tour of the city on bicycle! - Lovely tour across the city of Rotterdam on a bicycle, the Dutch way! Very interesting places, excellently described by our guide Elmer - he was fantastic. Overall, a great and fun experience 👍🏼

Fell like a Dutch on a bike - The bike tour was an excellent experience. Elmer is a friendly and flexible guide. He shares things about the city that you won’t find in written guides. I definitely recommend choosing this activity. In three hours, Elmer takes you through all the main and important sights of Rotterdam. The ride is not demanding — it’s pleasant. With this tour, you also get to experience the true Dutch urban cycling vibe.

Wondeful discovering of the city - Great Visit! Elmer is a passionate and enthousiast guide, it was a real pleasure to discover this exciting city through its history, architecture and urbanism. If you have only one thing to do in Roterrdam, it's definetely the cycling guided tour!

Rotterdam - by bike - This was a wonderful city bike tour with Elmer...curious, funny with very nice hot spots and information about the city. A very good mix of information, breaks and photo tops. Be sure to do this tour 🙂🚲🌇

Super fun and informative bike tour + introduction highlights center and history of Rotterdam. - Super fun and informative bike tour done. Guide Elmer is very enthusiastic and knows a lot about the highlights and history of Rotterdam. We have explored the center and katendrecht well and know where we need to be for the rest of our visit to Rotterdam. Great!

Good biking tour - Hans was a really good guide. Very knowledgeable about Rotterdam. Interesting stops. Bikes quite good for city touring. Rotterdam is quite bike-friendly- more so than Amsterdam!

Exceptional personalized tour - Elmer was an extremely knowledgeable and attentive tour guide. He ensured I had detailed instructions to get to the starting location. When I got there he made sure the bike fit and I had a helmet so I felt safe and comfortable. Elmer took me all through Rotterdam telling me interesting things about its history, charm, and significance. He showed me Rotterdam through a local’s eyes and of course made sure we saw all the places of interest, but also showed me places I would never have found on my own. Elmer made it fun and personalized. When we come back we will book another tour with Elmer. After the tour he let me know what we didn’t get to and created another tour for me. It was amazing.
