Wow! So much better than I expected! - This experience is great! The MC is knowledgeable and relaxed. The pace of things is just right, the performance is not only beautiful to watch, one learns. As for the Hangi, it's quite an eperience in itself. If you are an omnivore, you will enjoy it! The whole experience transports you into traditional Maoridom like never before

Great experience, not for small children. - The Maori experience was very interesting and the dinner was excellent. The food included many traditional Maori foods and cooked with traditional methods. The stage production was very good as well. There were some children present and they probably should not have been as the production could be a bit frightening for small children.

A good experience in the Maori culture - This was an enjoyable dinner and Maori Cultural experience. The cultural program was excellent. It's obvious that the performers are committed to their culture. The food was pretty good, not great. I had an enjoyable time.

Mitai Maori Village . - This tour goes rain or shine and the night we were there, it rained heavily. We had to walk up and down a poorly lit path with limited handrails while holding umbrellas. Twice. The Maori history show was very interesting and well done. The traditional canoe paddling was entertaining but not so much fun in the pouring rain. The buffet was plentiful and better than most. The emcee was very friendly and explained a lot of the Maori history. Had a good sense of humor. Drive yourself to their location. Our pick up envelope was 30 mins which is 25 minutes too long when it's raining that hard.

Bring a flashlight - Good food but some items ran out before we could sample. Very scary and unsafe walking in the dark on uneven surfaces with tree branches in the way to go to the arrival of the war canoe. Entertainment was great, very enjoyable. After dinner Q & A was too long.

The Maori Cultural... - The Maori Cultural Performance was interesting. However, there is no chance to watch the performance on the riverside because there are too many people. The night bush walk after dinner could be more interesting if more information were given.
