Fantastic and informative - Brilliant guide, all staff were extremely cheerful. I gained so much knowledge about Kiwis that I didn't even know that I needed 🤣 No boring bits ! I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and viewing the live Kiwis was amazing. They were so cute. The gift shop was really good and I am not big on gift shops but I came home with a few keepsakes of my day. I felt good that the proceeds of my ticket and merchandise all went towards saving more Kiwis. A great experience that I would encourage everyone to go and visit.

So happy to see a kiwi - Although we were out of season so there were no eggs or chicks to see the tour was still brilliant. Really informative and our guide was super friendly and knowledgable We saw adult kiwis in the nocturnal area which was magical.

Great, one hour, tour - Great little tour. The Kiwi breeding times and collected eggs are Aug through March or so, so if you are there out of season you won't see much actual activity but it really didn't matter because the tour was still fun and informative and lovely. Highly recommend.

Book it!! - Amazing experience!!! I really wanted to see a kiwi on our trip and was so happy to get a glimpse of two running around in there nocturnal enclosure. Very informative tour and love that all the ticket fees go towards the kiwi hatchery and helping to protect them. The hatchery is within the Agrodome which has tons of animals and a farm show and would be a great spot for kids/families.

Fabulous opportunity to see live kiwis - The tour was very comprehensive and taught the audience a lot about the life of the iconic kiwi. The presenter was entertaining and very knowledgeable, making sure everyone was able to be included in the presentation. We learnt so much about the way these birds live and how the centre is ensuring the success of the species by incubating and rearing kiwis until they are able to be released. It was fascinating. We really enjoyed being able to see the young kiwis moving around and foraging in the nocturnal house. The opportunity to do this was rare and really made the tour. I highly recommend this tour.

Looking for a kiwi - While this is a worthwhile cause and our guide was full of facts and figures if you think you will see a kiwi you may be misguided. It clearly states on the brochure there is no guarantee. As it is not hatching season all you will see is where the kiwi eggs are hatched and some stuffed kiwis, a demo of the sound they will make with a stuffed toy and videos of what you might have seen in hatching season. The hatchery is not working in June. We were given about ten minutes in a room where there were 3 kiwis. Luckily we saw one.
