A perfect combination of sights - Pepper and Dante are a top notch team, with Pepper taking on driving the winding and often narrow roads 😳, while Dante shared his knowledge of history and present day pointing out many points of interest as we traveled to our various destinations. The journey was as enjoyable as the destinations. The pace of the tour was perfect and did not seem like we had been gone 6 hours. Wear a swimsuit under your clothing. Take a dip in the Emerald Pool, the hot springs, & black sand beach. I recommend Keen or Teva type sandals with good traction vs your nice white sneakers.

From start to finish, this excursion was exceptional and far exceeded our expectations. Pepper guided us through the island with genuine warmth, deep knowledge, and a clear passion for sharing Dominica’s beauty. Our first stop was the stunning Emerald Pool, reached by a peaceful hike through the rainforest. The waterfall and cool water made for an unforgettable experience. We then visited a black sand beach, but not before Pepper welcomed us to his Air B&B for an incredible panoramic view of the island. The beach time was relaxing and scenic—exactly what we needed. Lunch at a local mom‑and‑pop restaurant near Trafalgar Falls was delicious, and the owner even picked fresh starfruit from a nearby tree for us to try. It was a thoughtful touch that made the day feel even more personal. Trafalgar Falls was breathtaking, and Pepper shared fascinating details about the area, including the impressive cable car project currently underway—set to become the longest in the world once completed. On the way back, Pepper took us through the Botanical Gardens, where we saw the famous school bus crushed by a fallen tree during the 1979 hurricane—a powerful reminder of the island’s history. From start to finish, Pepper delivered the best excursion of our trip. His hospitality, storytelling, and attention to detail made the day truly special. If you’re visiting Dominica, do yourself a favor and book a tour with Pepper. You will not be disappointed. We can’t wait to return—especially once the new international airport is complete.

Best excursion! - Day 6: Roseau, Commonwealth of Dominica (Not to be confused with the Dominican Republic) This little-known island is truly one of the Caribbean’s best-kept secrets—and our favorite stop of the trip! 💚 We booked our excursion through Viator, and now we totally understand the great reviews. There were only 11 of us on the tour, called “Pepper’s Choice.” Pepper was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable—and he even provided free drinks! His driving on those narrow, winding roads was terrifying… yet impressive 🤣 Stop 1: Emerald Falls Absolutely breathtaking… and “breathtaking”water 🥶🤣. Locals call it “refreshing” 😜. We got in, and the waterfall was powerful and stunning. Stop 2: Mero Beach A beautiful black sand beach. We had about an hour to relax and enjoy the water—perfect downtime. Stop 3: Local family-owned restaurant Pepper called our orders in ahead of time. We chose between chicken, shrimp, or fish. The open-air dining room had an incredible view, and the food was amazing. They also had a star fruit tree right next to the restaurant. I hadn’t had good star fruit since visiting Hawaii as a kid. The owner grabbed a ladder, climbed up, picked some, sliced it up, and shared it with us—SO good 😋 Stop 4: Trafalgar Waterfalls Known as “Papa” and “Mama.” Papa is taller and skinnier; Mama is shorter and wider. Once again—absolutely breathtaking. Stop 5: Ti Kwen Glo Cho Hot Springs (sulfur pools) The first pool was super hot, so Pepper suggested the second, cooler pool. He even sent Russell and me off to enjoy our own private soak 🥰. Later we joined the group in the larger pool—some of us even did mud facials 🤭. Then we braved the really hot pool! Tough to get into, but once submerged, it wasn’t too bad. We rinsed off in a very “refreshing” spring-fed pipe 😳 On the way back, Pepper showed us a bus that was crushed during a 1978 hurricane—with a tree now growing straight through it.

Saw a lot in Dominica - We had a great time with Pepper exploring Dominica. Especially loved the hot springs! The roads are very narrow but Pepper was an expert in driving them!

Excellent experience - Pepper and Dante were fantastic! They told us so much about the county. We learned about their history and the present day economy. Dante told us all about the plants, volcanoes, natural resources , economy, festivals etc. Truly the best guide we’ve had in 6 cruises with various excursions! Be prepared to walk large natural steps. You need to be very steady on your feet. Also, wear all weather type sturdy sandals because it can be muddy in areas. The drive is not for the weak of heart. However, Pepper is an extremely skilled driver.

Don't miss Team Pepper! - Pepper is not just a great guy, fun and friendly, but his expertise and knowledge assured he brings you to the right places at the right times and in the right order to maximize your experience. We had Emerald Pool entirely to ourselves. Trafalgar Falls, nearly all to ourselves. An amazing lunch at a special place overlooking the rolaingorest and river from the Dallas. Then the sulfur spa experience (and Mero beach) which was the cherry on top. The roads are treacherous. I don't recommend Trafalgar Falls on your own. You can't go wrong with Team Pepper!!!

All perfect - We had a very good time with with our two guides. We were so early (started at 8am) so that no place was crowded, which was super nice.

Great way to spend a day at Dominica - A fantastic day at Dominica . The hot springs were my favourite part of the day but a great tour to see some of the highlights of Dominica.Dante and Devon were patient knowledgeable and a lot of fun . Thank you for making our day so memorable .
