- Please note: For safety reasons, children under 7 years old are not permitted on the terraces, and therefore, we are unable to accept bookings for guests with children under 7 years old. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
- Please note: the interior of St. Agnes Basilica is currently undergoing restoration efforts and will remain closed until at least July, 2026. The Catacombs of St. Agnes below the Basilica and the Mausoleum of St. Costanza are still accessible and included in the tour.

Amazing tour of both St Agnes Basilica catacomb and Basilica of Maria Maggiore after hours . - This was our first experience in Rome on our first night . What a way to start our Rome trip - it was just amazing . Our guide Silvia was incredibly knowledgeable and very engaging. My husband and I enjoyed every minute . This is a must do !! Thank you Silvia !!!

Truly Special - Valentina was spectacular! Fantastico 🤌
The catacomb tour was absolutely excellent. From the moment we descended underground, the atmosphere felt both mysterious and awe-inspiring. The guide was knowledgeable, weaving together history, faith, and culture in a way that made every corridor come alive. The frescoes, carvings, and burial niches revealed layers of Roman and early Christian life I had never appreciated before. Despite the solemn subject matter, the experience was fascinating rather than heavy, and it felt like stepping back in time. The organization of the tour was smooth, the pacing was perfect, and I left with a deeper respect for Rome’s hidden past.

Blessed, peaceful and in awe - Marco is the best tour guide! Hw made this experience so special and truly blessed for us. He explained everything so beautifully and gave us time to see everything and answered every question we had. He really knows his stuff and I can't wait to do another tour with him. Excellent tour option - We had a wonderful time touring the Catacombs and Santa Maria Maggiore with Valentina. She was so friendly and knowledgeable of the history. It was lovely to have a small group, mostly private, tour. We got to the terrace of Santa Maria Maggiore just in time for golden hour, and then we got to enjoy a moment inside the basilica completely to ourselves on the way out. Absolutely gorgeous! Valentina also gave us a great recommendation for dinner close by after the tour, and it was delicious!

Really Worthwhile Tour while in Rome! - We really enjoyed this tour and learning about this part of Roman history: from the fascinating reasons and ambiance of the catacombs, to the background and beauty of Santa Maria Maggiore, to exploring the terraces (and seeing the city view at sunset) and the cathedral after hours (no one in there except for 2 small tour groups), to knowing this is where Pope Francis wanted to rest in peace. Our guide, Valentina, was terrific! And LIV tour company is top-notch! Highly recommend doing this tour, and seeing something different than the more well-known Roman sites!

Wonderful time at the Catacombs - We had a fabulous time with Silvia (aka Smop) during the tour of the Catacombs and Santa Maria Maggiore. Silvia was so knowledgeable about the Catacombs and shared such interesting information with us. She guided us through the maze of the Catacombs and shared such wonderful insights. It was truly a wonderful experience. It was also amazing being in the Santa Maria Maggiore after hours and hearing about the significance of various artifacts in the church. Silvia was fantastic and made the experience a moving and interesting one.

A true must see experience!! - We travel often and this was one of the BEST tours we've done. Massimo was an incredible guide! He not only took our group last minute but was incredibly knowledgeable,a ton of fun, and his passion for these places really enhanced the entire experience! Last,but not least, the exclusive VIP parts of this tour are a definite don't miss!! You'll never see Rome the same!

Small tour group , Max 6 pax , great and amazing places and very knowledgeable guides - Valentina was an amazing guide so much knowledge and passion. We loved the private tour , as we walked past this church with hundred people lining up and through live tours we are able to skip the queue especially with this tour being the only people in the church.
