Must-Book for Attractions beyond Sistine/Vatican/Colosseum - We went to this tour offered by Touriks and our tour guide was Mario. It was supposed to be a small group tour but there were only the two of us, and the tour was fantastic. The Trajan's Markets wasn't a major attraction and most visitors would probably miss it. It's not as important as the Coliseum and Vatican/Sistine Chapel, but it's a must see if you can spare a couple extra hours after visiting the top attractions. Visiting via a tour guide is highly recommended. If we were to come on our own, nothing would make sense except for the outside ruins. Mark with Touriks did an excellent job walking us through a number of exhibits inside the museum, which provides the much needed context for the site in general and the ruins outside of the museum. We were able to build up knowledge on roman history and western civilization because of the vivid stories and to the point descriptions. This tour is highly recommended if you will be staying in Rome for 2 days or more.
