Great tour- a must! - This was a great tour. Our guide, Maria, was fantastic. I highly recommend anyone visiting Rome, do this tour. The tour details says you cannot wear clothing that show your knees however when we arrived we were told only your thighs can’t show. Misinformation but didn’t negatively impact our tour in anyway.

Interesting - Seeing the crypts and catacombs was an interesting experience. I would recommend For an underground learning experience in Italy. Remember to come with your shoulders and knees covered. If not you have to purchase a kimono for 1 euro, but we had a good time.

Divon was divine! - We didn’t know what to expect when we booked this tour but what little we knew about the history of the catacombs didn’t even touch the surface. Our guide, Divon (the tall pale guy leading the pack) was a wealth of knowledge and his humor kept us hanging on every word. A very memorable day if you don’t mind looking at corpses!

Surprisingly interesting and informative tour - We were lucky to take part in a tour of the catacombs and rooms made of Capuchin bones and skulls! The tour is in English, but we had a great guide Maxim from Ukraine (12 years living in Italy) - his English was very clear and easy to understand, and the tour was fascinating and interesting! We traveled on a comfortable air-conditioned bus, so it was just chic given the hot weather. Excursion was spectacular, informative and comfortable because of using bus with conditioner and incredible guide Max who told us many interesting facts with jokes if it was possible! Thanks Max and best wishes!!!

Interesting - This was an interesting little tour: probably a little over-priced for the time spent in the actual sites. We first saw about 4 crypt rooms that were very morbidly decorative, with the guide providing some background information about them and the Capuchin monks. Next came a bus drive across town to the catacombs. A local guide took us into the catacombs for about half an hour, providing some information about their history. Then the bus dropped us off in the rain on a street near the meeting point.

The Bone Chapel is the one of the oddest sites I've ever visited! - If you've ever wondered what a chandelier made of human vertebrae looks like then this is the place for you. Although the diagonal pattern of jaw bones and skeleton of a princess on the ceiling really complemented it. The guide was great, very well educated, interesting and with impeccable English. Although the catacombes were so busy with various different tours, and different tour guides, trying to show you specific sites that I wondered if they were playing a game of tig. Which kind of gave the place a pythonesque rather than a spiritual feeling.

Not worth doing - The tour wasn’t really worth doing. Our guide Inti was trying to be funny but failed. He also gave his personal views on religion and said that it wasn’t worth going to the colosseum or the Vatican. Whilst he is entitled to his opinions I don’t think this was the right audience to share them with
