The current square’s shape precisely mirrors the perimeter of the ancient stadium built by the emperor in 86 AD for athletic events and horse racing.
• Piazza Venezia - Situated between Via del Corso and Via dei Fori Imperiali, Piazza Venezia’s shape results from the area’s redevelopment at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries for the construction of the Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II.
• Colosseum - The driver will stop for 10 minutes. The Flavian Amphitheatre, commonly known as the Colosseum, is located in the archaeological heart of Rome and attracts numerous visitors daily, drawn by its historical allure and intricate architecture. Admission is not included in the price.
• Castel Sant’Angelo - Originally commissioned by Roman Emperor Hadrian as a mausoleum for himself and his family, Castel Sant’Angelo, located in Parco Adriano, Rome, Italy, later served as a fortress and castle for the popes and is now a museum. It was once the tallest building in Rome. A 5-minute stop for photos.
• Campo de’ Fiori - The name Campo de’ Fiori, meaning “field of flowers” in Italian, dates back to the Middle Ages when the area was a meadow.
• Trevi Fountain - The driver will stop for 10 minutes for photos. The Trevi Fountain, an 18th-century masterpiece in the Trevi district of Rome, Italy, was designed by Italian architect Nicola Salvi and completed by Giuseppe Pannini in 1762, among others. It is the largest Baroque fountain in the city and one of the most renowned fountains worldwide.
