A panoramic open-top bus transports visitors from the city center to the subterranean area of the Roman Catacombs. This vast network of tunnels, lying beneath the city, once functioned as both a burial site and a place of worship for the early Christians in Rome. With the guidance of an expert, participants will explore these sacred locations and uncover their captivating history.
Depending on the chosen option, the experience can be enhanced with a guided visit to the Capuchin Crypts or a guided underground tour of the Trevi Fountain District, providing an even deeper understanding of Rome’s hidden layers.
- Catacombs tour is not recommended for travelers who may get claustrophobic due to the small spaces.
- The tour is not accessible for visitors on wheelchairs or with severe motor disabilities.
- Dress code is required: shoulders and knees has to be covered.
- Visitors with specific disabilities may be entitled to a free ticket after speaking directly to the ticket office of Catacombs.
- Catacombs and Trevi District Underground are in different locations: transfer is not included. You will visit the Catacombs first and Trevi District Underground according to your staying in Rome.

Do a little something extra on your trip to Rome - Noemi was an absolutely wonderful tour guide. Seeing the catacombs and necropolis is not an experience to miss for the faithful or just lovers of History. I'm posting a picture of a basilica after the tour – pictures of the catacombs are not permitted.

great catacombs tour - elena and goivanni were great tour guides/driver! our guide at the catacombs was lovely as well- tour at the catacombs was about 45mins and we were driven there and back

To discover! - Very informative tour, and quite incredible. Alima is very smiling, speaks perfect French. At the catacombs, visit also in French by a very funny Congolese priest. We highly recommend this experience

Group was too large. We... - Group was too large. We were at the back of the group and could not hear very well. I could hear another (different language group) which made it more difficult. Catacombs were amazing. Tour guide was knowledgeable. Very informative.

Just go to it yourself - The catacombs tour itself was pretty interesting and well done. But here is what I found out after going. We followed a tour guide to the bus (about a 10 min walk) we took a bus to the catacombs. My child was feeling sick so we asked if we could just take an uber back. They said we could not because the driver needed us on the bus. The driver was standing there and we were 3 of 6 total. Then to clench the whole deal. The catacombs tour is $10 if you just go there. I paid $60 more for bus tides and extra time wasted. Lesson learned just go yo it yourself.

Double booking scam - Do not use this company.
I booked the Catacombs & Trevi tour, but once I arrived at the Tourista office I was told I could do the catacombs but not Trevi as "it's booked out" I told them I must be part of the booking since I've paid for the entire tour. They said it's two separate tours and must be booked separately- no where on the booking does it make you aware of this.
I asked why the advertisement say's both areas and you took payment for both but now I can only do one and was told "it's ok we can fit you in for another day". This was on a Friday and I was leaving Rome the next afternoon, I was told they couldn't do anything because "sorry it's booked up"..
They then refused to give me a refund because you only get a refund if you give them 24 hours notice of cancellation and I was "cancelling" shortly before the tour.
I told them I was not cancelling and am perfectly happy to go on the tour that I've paid for. They then said there's nothing they can do.
In my opinion this is a double booking scam to make more money knowing that lot's of tourists are in Rome for a short period of time and thus cannot book later dates, so they can continually get paid for 2 bookings while servicing one.
Avoid this company like the plague.
