The gladiator lesson is conducted at the Gladiator School of Rome, situated near the Colosseum on the historic Appian Way. This school specializes in recreating ancient Roman life and gladiator combat. The instructors, who are part of the Historic Group of Rome, will start the class by providing participants with a costume, which includes a traditional belt, tunic, leather gloves, and a training sword called a rudis. Participants will learn the fundamental skills of gladiator sword fighting, allowing them to unleash their imagination and embody an ancient Roman as they fend off fierce lions and duel with other gladiators. There is an option to join a gladiator tournament, where a prize awaits the winner. Regardless of participation in the tournament, all attendees receive a certificate of achievement at the conclusion of the lesson. Friends and family can observe the class from the viewing platform. Admission to the Gladiator School of Rome Museum is also included, offering a chance to explore gladiator weapons and other historical artifacts.
