Echoing the parlor concerts of the nineteenth century, when classical music was the popular genre, these concerts are held in the distinctive nineteenth-century Opera da Camera di Roma Hall. In addition to Mercury’s works, the program will feature excerpts from compositions created for royalty by G. F. Handel. Reflecting Freddie’s biography, traditional Indian music will also be included. Freddie Mercury was a luminary of his era, akin to Farinelli in the 18th century.
