Loved it!! - Long day but worth it!! Loved both places. Amalfi coast and Positano were gorgeous and Pompeii was so interesting. Our guide, Rob, gave us so much information which is what I expect from a guide! He was entertaining as well as knowledgeable. The only suggestion is to tell people at the beginning if they should keep the same seats on the bus or should change seats on the return trip to avoid problems.

Wonderful day! - What a day! We were treated to a feast for the eyes! Departure from Rome, with our guide Sarah! The bus was very comfortable, and the driver was top-notch! Visiting Pompeii with a local guide is truly interesting! Dinner in Pompeii and then heading to the Amalfi Coast with our guide. A brief stop in Sorrento to discover a local product (limoncello) while waiting for the shuttles to Positano. A breathtaking view! Mount Vesuvius is impressive. A day we will not forget! We received excellent service from start to finish, and we were lucky because Sarah also spoke French, so my partner was able to chat a bit with her. It is a long day, and still exhausting on the Amalfi Coast... be sure to bring snacks for the road, even though we make stops along the way, and bring Gravol for motion sickness, because the road along the coast... wow! I highly recommend it! It was well worth the price!!!!!

Lots of Italy in a Little Time - On our recent trip to Italy, we wanted to see the Amalfi Coast- but were concerned about driving the distance. We were delighted to see that there was a tour available that would allow us to visit three points of interest in one day. Our English speaking tour guide, Eduardo, was a God send. He had a unique way of entertaining and engaging the travel group. He was very attentive and patient, expressing care for those with special needs. He was knowledgeable about Rome, Pompeii and Positano. Eduardo provided many options for the group to partake in. Some included sampling Limoncello after a tour of the factory in Sorrento and enjoying authentic Italian pizza at a popular restaurant in Pompeii. It was a full day and we were exhausted, but it was so worth it! Book this tour! You won’t be disappointed. (I hope Eduardo is your tour guide).

Packed full day of experiences - This is a great full day trip from Rome. It’s a long day but well worth it to see Pompeii with a knowledgeable guide, a lemochello factory, and Postino. All three we would not have been able to see otherwise. Our guide gave great suggestions for exploring Postino and we found reasonable prices within this tourist beach area.

Fabulous day trip to the Amalfi Coast - We had a truly wonderful day tour to the Amalfi Coast, Positano, and Pompeii with City Wonders Rome, and it exceeded every expectation. Our tour guide, Valentina Brandi, was absolutely outstanding. Her passion for Rome and Italy is infectious — the way she brings history and culture to life through her storytelling made every moment feel special. She kept the entire group engaged and entertained throughout the day. A huge shoutout to our driver, Danilo, who navigated the famously winding Amalfi roads with skill and confidence, getting us to every stop on time without a moment of stress. At Pompeii, we were lucky to have Enrico as our guide. He struck the perfect balance between education and entertainment — weaving in fascinating facts with just the right amount of humour to keep everyone laughing and learning at the same time. City Wonders ran the entire day seamlessly from start to finish. The logistics, the pacing, the quality of guides — everything was handled with professionalism and care. If you’re visiting the Amalfi Coast or Pompeii, I cannot recommend City Wonders Rome highly enough. A truly fabulous experience!

Fantastic tour with Flavio! - Had a wonderful time on this day trip to Pompei & Positano. Our tour guide was Flavio and he was delightful, very positive and had a lot of knowledge. Our driver was Julio and in Pompei, our guide’s name was Giancarla. The meet up instructions were clear, with a lot of people already there when we got there. You check in with the tour guide and get sorted into the time slot you selected. The only downside is there are a LOT of people per tour…probably upwards of 40-50 folks on our bus. There are plenty of bathroom breaks for the long bus ride (1.5 hours then 20 minute bathroom break), followed by first stop in Pompei. It was a radio tour guide at this point, and Giancarla was very informative. Pompei was very cool. We then had a quick lunch we pre-ordered with Flavio (soda/beer, pizza + dessert party for 18 euros) because it’s the off season so a lot of restaurants in Positano were closed. We stopped by a limoncello factory and then took smaller shuttles into Positano, where we spent about 1.5 hours. It was lovely but not much to do in the off season (most restaurants + shops closed). 1.5 hours was enough time. Beautiful view of the Amalfi coast. Took a long nap on the drive back. Overall would recommend! Had a lovely time but it’s a long day (around 12 hours).

Epic Day! - Bring a packed lunch and snacks to keep you going all day and grab a coffee before the meeting point. There’s a McDonalds nearby to Pizza Del Popolo. There are rest stops on the way, the first morning stop was about 1.5 hrs into the journey. The service station is expensive so you’ll save some money to plan your snacks/packed lunch ahead. You can also choose to have take out pizza and drink after Pompeii at the restaurant where the coach parks. Excellent tour from Antonino and our driver (we forgot his name but is very experienced and we felt safe). Lots of fascinating information given about Rome’s history. Pompeii tour was only given 1.5 hrs and there was a slight delay getting through the checkpoint due to the independent tour company mix up with tickets and then a five minute delay inside the site for toilet break.. However, our guide was excellent and we were able to see several highlights. It’s just a snap-shot as the site is huge! Mount Vesuvius was shrouded in mist but still an amazing backdrop. Onto Positano for 1hr 45 mins. We stopped at a Lemoncello factory for free tasting/shopping and switched to smaller mini buses due to the narrower roads. Stunning, exciting journey down the hair pin bends! If you are prone to travel sickness this may not be the right trip for you. Ask to sit up front. We were dropped off slightly up the hill. Just enough time to head down to the shore, through the cute streets, take photos and do some shopping. Many cafes were closed due to being March (still official Italian winter) but the main cafe bar on the shore front had plenty of tables. Overall, extremely good value for a full, stress-free, day trip!

Memorable views-long bus ride from Rome - Our tour guide Natascia was wonderful. She expertly explained our trip as we went. There were stops for the bathroom, souvenirs/food, and exploration of the areas we visited. All in all, it was over 12 hours-mostly on the bus. It was a long day from arrival at 7AM to drop off at 9PM. Be ready for a LONG day. We saw so many beautiful and historic sites. We are glad that we went-no visitor should drive on their own (narrow streets and pin curves to navigate). For that reason, I highly recommend this tour. If you have any walking issues (feet, knees, hips, or back), you may want a shorter tour. There are a lot of uneven paths, rocks, steps, and hills to walk down and back up. Dress comfortably.

The trip is very well... - The trip is very well organized and well done. It involves quite a bit of walking. However, the 18 euro pizza lunch at Pompei is garbage served by rude people, go to a restaurant instead.
