- Centro Storico di Ostia Antica - Known as “the Borghetto”: a charming medieval village, dating back to the 9th century a.D, with its perfectly preserved 15th century “Giulio II castle”, built on a Michelangelo design, to help the papal state control the trading on the river Tevere and defend the farmers from the raids by the Saracens. Then we’ll have an Italian GELATO just outside the medieval walls.
