Great experience. - A lovely experience. The combination of opera and ballet was special, but the two arts worked well together. The church was a good place to have the opera, fantastic acoustics and beautiful background. However, the benches were hard to sit on for 2 1/2 hours.

Great artists but bad seating arrangement - The opera singers and the artists were all great. But the seting arrangement in a Chappel/Church is not ideal at all. Unless you are seated in the 1st 2 rows you can barely see anything. I am sure i would have enjoyed the experience in a real auditorium

Nice location but... - Nice location but unfortunately very hot and the men singing wasn’t good. Seems more like tourist trap than higher class opera

Poor Verdi - Lovely place and we know it. Wonderful opera and very well known to everyone, but was the experimental setting of the Slovak director with dancers dressed as freddy Mercury and semi-naked Violetta necessary? Poor Verdi. Not to mention Alfredo who took various cues. Excellent orchestra and magnificent choir. But even the choir director, Visco, who typically enters the scene for the greeting was careful not to show up at the end. Not to mention the tacky set design. Really not worth it..Caracalla deserves better
