A must see - Absolutely amazing you can get so close to the art there is an incredible collection across lots of genres. So much space so even though there was a lot of people it didn’t feel full or busy. You can just wander around in your own time no pressure, lots of fabulous exhibits which change at times so there’s always something new to see.

Excellent Gem with Impressionist too! - We spent two hours in this museum and enjoyed every bit of it. There have a wonderful grouping of lions sculptures on the steps as you enter. It looks like a pride lounging. I wanted to pet them. Inside there was a notable set of dog sculpture that looks to be in a tussle. There were many Spanish impressionist painting as well as a Van Gogh, two Courbets, a few Rodins and a single Cezanne. The rest of the museum had wonderful juxtaposition between modern and classic. Often we would look through the rooms to see a classical sculpture next to very modern pieces. Loved it. There is a nice cafe with table service. There of course were bathrooms, downstairs, and lockers for your backpack. There is a bus/tram stop right out front. Definitely worth a few hours of time!
