A nice little cup of history. - A well thought out route with a knowledgeable guide(s), who offered insight around the many sights seen outside of the main attractions as well. The radio was a bit on and off, but generally a nice touch.

Rome Catacombs and Crypts - Booking the tour online was very easy and there was lots of information so we knew what to expect. The meeting place is close to a Metro station so was easy to get to and the Tour Guys rep was easily identifiable with a red jacket and flag. The price included all admission fees and transport between the two sites which was very good. There were about 24 people on the tour from various countries and Fiona, the tour guide, was able to answer any questions and was generally very knowledgeable, giving an overview of areas/buildings of interest on the drive through Rome. The guide in the Crypt was via an earpiece and recording, which was good as you could replay parts if you needed to. The guide at the Catacombs was actually a priest attached to the Vatican and again was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and catacombs. The whole tour took about 3 hours, which was just enough as it's a lot of information to take in. I would say this tour isn't really suitable for young children and isn't accessible for those with mobility problems.

Great tour guide, horrible company - Fiona made this excursion fantastic! Very knowledgeable and pleasant and the only reason this does not get a 1 star. The only issue I had with this excursion was with the provider. I accidently paid for 2 adults and a child rather than an adult and a youth. I was refunded the difference between an adult and a youth rather than the full child as well as the difference between an adult and a youth. I lost about $30 on the scam. Hopefully this prevents you from falling victim as well.

Abandoned in a storm—Zero communication, zero accountability - I am beyond disappointed with The tour guy complete lack of professionalism and basic customer service. We arrived at the designated meeting point on time, despite severe weather conditions involving sideways rain and hail. Because the weather was so extreme, visibility was incredibly poor. We actively looked for a guide but could not locate anyone. The Issues: • No Communication: We received zero messages, calls, or emails from the company regarding a change in the meeting spot or a weather delay. • Unreachable: We attempted to contact the company during the window, but no one answered or provided assistance. By the time they answered the tour guide had already left the location and we could not join the tour. • Zero Flexibility: Despite the "Act of God" weather conditions, the company is now refusing to reschedule or provide a refund, claiming it was "our fault" for not finding the guide. It is unreasonable to expect guests to pinpoint a guide in a hailstorm when the company provides no real-time updates or means of contact. They essentially took our money and left us standing in a storm. Final Verdict: Save your money and book with a company that actually cares about its guests' safety and communication. Their "no refund" policy under these specific circumstances feels like a predatory scam.
