The journey begins by cycling along the Via Appia Antica, a historic stone road that once linked Rome to the vast Empire. Experience the enchanting ambiance of the Roman countryside and hear tales of legionnaires, emperors, and travelers, as if the echoes of ancient Roman chariots still resonate on this path!

Surrounded by grand tombs, impressive aqueducts, and remnants of ancient villas, it feels like stepping back in time. The bustling city fades away as we pedal towards a serene haven: Castel Gandolfo.

In this medieval village, the stunning view of the clear lake and the Papal Palace, the summer retreat of the Popes, will captivate you with its charm and authenticity. Delight in local culinary specialties during your lunch break. Your guide can suggest a superb Osteria for a traditional meal or other kiosks where you can savor genuine Castelli Romani delicacies.

We will return to Rome comfortably by train, leisurely reviewing the photos of our wonderful adventure and relishing the energy and vitality these places have bestowed upon us!

• Min./Refund: Minimum of 4 participants required. If not met, an alternative date or a full refund will be offered.
• Max Group Size: The limit is set at 8 guests per guide for a personalized experience. We maintain flexibility (1-2 extra guests) to keep family/group bookings together; the tour may still run with fewer than 6 people.
• Route: Approximately 60% of the tour takes place on the historic Appian Way. The route is carefully selected. However, please note that vehicular traffic on open roads is unavoidable during the transitions connecting the Appian Way to Lake Albano.
• Variations: The itinerary may be modified for safety reasons or due to external events.
• Skill Level: Basic to intermediate cycling skills are required (due to countryside/off-road sections).
• Riding Test: A mandatory pre-departure test will be conducted. The guide may deny participation (without refund) due to poor ability or health issues.
• Age Limit: Participants must be between 16 and 79 years old.
• What is NOT Included
  (A) Food & Drinks: Not included to give you flexibility on choice and quantity. The estimated cost for food/tastings usually ranges from €20 – €25.

(B) Train Ticket: The train ticket for the return journey is not included and is the responsibility of the participant. The cost is a maximum of €3.
