The tour begins with meeting the guide outside the Santa Maria del Popolo Church. Participants will stroll through the Tridente neighborhood, where Caravaggio lived in the 15th century, and proceed to the Church of St. Louis of the French. Here, they can admire the artist’s work on the altarpiece in the Contarelli Chapel, which features paintings depicting the life of St. Matthew.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to view the Madonna of Loreto, one of Caravaggio’s most renowned paintings, which he gifted to the Sant’Agostino Church.
