Celebrate in a distinctive and extraordinary manner by joining the special Christmas Baroque Concert at the Capuchins Convent Hall, featuring an “a cappella” performance by the renowned Schola Romana Ensemble.
This event beautifully captures the essence of the Christmas spirit through the power of sacred music and includes a tour of the Capuchin Museum and Crypt, offering insights into the history and devotion of the Franciscans.
The musical program highlights compositions from the Sistine Chapel by Palestrina, Arcadelt, and Morales, along with live Gregorian chants performed by the Schola Romana Ensemble, our resident group specializing in historically informed music.
Following the concert, attendees will be guided to the Capuchin Museum and Crypt for an independent tour, supported by an audioguide available in 13 languages. Visitors will have the opportunity to admire “Saint Francis in Meditation,” a masterpiece by Caravaggio, and be captivated by the 4,000 bones of Capuchin friars that create the breathtaking decorations of the Crypt.
