For lovers of Bernini - You must redeem the voucher sent to you, right at the entrance of the gallery, there is a square and on one of the sides of the square the voucher is redeemed for entrance to the gallery. you cannot enter with water or with bags, backpacks or large bags. with small bags of about 25 cm if you can enter. Just to see the sculptures of Bernini is already worth it.

Exactly what we expected - Paying to skip the line is so worth it. This gallery is one of my personal favorites. Not to be missed.

Easy and organized - Easy meet up with our rep. Very friendly. Gallery was amazing. Just enough time too see all floors. Communicated by phone when we were delayed which I appreciated.

Glad to have had entry - I was glad to have been able to visit Galleria Borghese despite tickets being sold out for the day. I paid Viator multiple times the ticket rate for last minute access.

Over rated - Was a little difficult finding the representative near the front entrance. The audio guide is an app you have to download and its numbers do not coordinate at all with exhibits. Took a while to figure out what room your in. Experience on this ‘tour’ suggests not worth doing. Better off get tickets on your own or find a tour with a guide who is with you all the time

rip off - The price was more than three times the normal price, there was no indication beforehand that the exhibition was half closed. No audio guide in German available. We got one in the Galleria Borghese. Pure rip-off via City Wonders.

No advance notice given of an annual run which prevented bus and taxi travel to Borghese day of tour - Our group of 5 senior ladies had prepaid for a 9am tour November 1, 2025. Sadly, the company didn’t notify us that the annual Corsa dei Santi race was scheduled for the morning of our tour; an event that we, as international travelers would have no advance knowledge of. As a result, neither buses nor taxis, which we attempted between 7:45-8:15 am were able to get anywhere near the Borghese that morning. We were over an hour’s walk from the Borghese and although we contacted the company and explained the situation as soon as understood the situation, the only suggestion offered was to walk, which would not have gotten us there in time for our tour.
The company has refused any refunds nor have they acknowledged that they should have notified us of the annual Corsa die Santi race.

Missed the Meeting Point - We missed the meet up point and did not realize that the phone call we received from a number in Ireland was the guide calling us. We had only expected Italian phone calls related to our reservation so we didn’t answer. We asked at the museum desk if we can enter and we tried to call the company but were told that they cannot give us the entrance voucher after the meeting time so we could not enter on our own and catch up

Paid 44 Euro for a Ticket I Never Got! Scammed by Viator Partner City Wonders Due to 15 min late arrival! - I paid 44 Euro for a "skip the line" ticket to the Galleria Borghese on July 26th. This was a timed ticket for the 2:00-4:00pm time slot, with an audio guide. After being unable to download the voucher from my email, I wrote to Viator to explain the situation. I was told that I should arrive at the museum by 2:00, and that someone from Viator partner City Wonders would be waiting there for me with my ticket.
As I arrived about fifteen minutes late and was unable to download the voucher with the detailed meeting point instructions until after 2:00 pm, I was never able to find the City Wonders agent. When I called City Wonders, I was informed that the agent had already left for the day, and that there was no way to contact the agent to arrange another meeting, and that it was impossible to send me a photo of the ticket to allow me to enter the museum, which the Galleria Borghese employees kindly suggested they would accept. I am absolutely outraged at the inefficiency of this system and total disregard for customer service City Wonders showed. Can a ticket not be sent over email? Can the company not contact their own employees?
I paid 44 Euro for a ticket that I NEVER received, and I was told by City Wonders that they could not help with any request for a refund, which needed to be done on my own through Viator. NOWHERE in ANY communication with Viator was I told that late arrivals would not be able to receive a ticket. The phrase "late arrivals cannot be accommodated" in a communication from Viator is not nearly specific or detailed enough to indicate the actual policy of City Wonders that late arrivals will be DENIED the PRE-PAID ticket. Was my ticket given away to someone else? Did anyone receive a ticket from City Wonders? I have no way of knowing, because I never even saw the ticket I paid for. I am incredibly upset by this situation, and I request a refund in full from Viator.
I have booked with Viator in the past (2016 in Bethlehem and Jericho) and found their local guides to be incredibly professional and knowledgeable, but knowing that Viator uses unprofessional, disorganized, and disreputable partners like City Wonders causes me to seriously question if I would ever book with Viator again. Even the museum staff at the Galleria Borghese shook their heads in disbelief when I explained the price I paid for the ticket and the response I received from City Wonders. When a supervisor called City Wonders on my behalf, she too was disturbed by their unhelpfulness, arbitrary policies, and lack of customer care.
As the saying goes, I'm leaving 1 star only because I can't leave 0 stars. Unless Viator can make this right, I will strongly discourage friends and family traveling in the future (whether to Rome or otherwise) from booking through Viator when they use local partners that cannot be relied upon. I have traveled extensively in Europe and the Middle East, and my friends and family often come to me asking for recommendations. When I give them advice on local sites of interest to visit, I'll tell them to "book a tour, but not through Viator."
