Leave the City on Two Wheels and See More of Rome! - Most come to Rome for the Trevi and Coloseum and Pantheon. But there’s more to this incredible city and you’ll see a snippet of it but going outside the walls. This is an excellent way to see the Rome so many others miss. Fresh air, parks, aquaducts, walking the road of Saint Peter and Spartacus, a visit to a tennis club… we also saw sheep, turtles and fish. If you can request Alex— DO IT. He was patient, funny, informative, and kept us all safe and happy. Plus e takes great pics! We have an amazing family photo I’ll cherish forever. Take this tour!

Relaxing, Beautiful, Educational and Fun Bike Tour Everyone Should Experience! - People go to Rome for the Colosseum and Trevi and Pantheon; but there’s more to Rome. This bike excursion was a wonderful way to see outside the city walls, travel the Appian Way like Spartacus and Saint Peter, admire the engineering brilliance from 2000 years ago, and enjoy fresh air and quiet parks. We saw sheep crossing, turtles sun basking, a man practicing his trumpet in the park, children playing soccer, dogs playing fetch, a gladiator enthusiast club practicing for the upcoming holiday performance, a tennis club… but the highlight of the tour was Alex, our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, engaging, funny, and flexible. He took some amazing family photos for us that we will cherish forever! He kept us safe, was patient, and we truly enjoyed chatting with him at lunch (bruschetta, pasta with red sauce, water). If you can remember to request him, I strongly suggest you do. I’ve been to Rome four times and this was my first time doing a tour like this— it’s an absolute must and I regret not doing it sooner.

Kids ages 10 and 14 loved it - We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Roma Starbike and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip to Rome. We were travelling as a family with teenagers and the Appian Way e-bike tour was perfect—active, fun and a great change from traditional sightseeing. The bikes were excellent quality and easy to use, even for the kids, which made the whole experience really enjoyable and stress-free. The route itself was amazing. Riding along the Appian Way and seeing the aqueducts felt like a real adventure, and it gave us a completely different perspective on Rome away from the busy city centre. Our guides Marco, Lorenzo and Gio were all brilliant—friendly, knowledgeable and great with the kids, keeping things interesting without overloading us with information. Everything was very well organised from start to finish and we felt safe and looked after throughout. We would 100% recommend this to families, especially with active kids or teenagers—it’s the perfect mix of history, fun and outdoor activity.

Really great excursion for all the family . - Lovely trip out with Chris. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the ruins we explored and more than willing to answer any questions. It was an easy ride with lots of settings on the bike to make it as hard or easy as we wanted . Lunch was okay , bit basic- pasta with sausage and broccoli. Saw lots of interesting places and parks.

Great Time Out of the City! - My family of five did this, children aged 9-14. The bikes were so easy to get around. The scenery was great, Lorenzo & Jeff were even better! It was my kids favorite part of the trip, certainly nice to get out of the busy city after a few days!

Great guide and fantastic outing - This trip was a highlight to our vacation. Gio was a fantastic guide. She has a degree in classics and is heading to Oxford in the fall to pursue her masters degree. We had a great time and learned all sorts of facts about the Appian Way and San Callisto Catacombs. The e-bikes made the trip relaxing and fun.

Wonderful Experience - HIGHLY Recommended - We had an amazing experience with our e-bike tour of the catacombs, aqueducts, and Appian Way. Our guide, Lorenzo, was very knowledgeable, and accommodating to the group - keeping us all together and safe around Roman traffic points. We were in town celebrating our son's birthday, and Lorenzo surprised us with a nice cake at our lunch stop - above and beyond our expectations. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a unique view of the history of Rome.
