The Amalfi Coast, occupying a 50-kilometer section of mountainous shoreline just to the south of Naples, is globally recognized for its magnificent cliffs and often ranked as one of the most passionate and enduring destinations in Italy, arguably even the most aesthetically pleasing coastal area in Europe. The region boasts awe-inspiring landforms and a narrow, winding road that braces against the coastal cliffs, navigating steep, cliff-side routes that descend directly into the sea. The largest town along this stretch of coast, Amalfi, is known for its impressive Duomo and heralded nautical history as a marine republic. Additionally, you’ll delight in the scenic Positano; the splendid hill-town of Ravello with panoramic views from Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone; and the various towns of Furore, Maiori, Minori, Praiano. As a UNESCO world heritage site, a visit to the so-called ‘Divine Coast’ will leave no doubts as to why it is so designated.
