Old Ponale Road Path - A Balcony on Lake Garda
Opened in 1851, the Ponale served as the sole route for the Valle di Ledro for over a century. It is now closed to vehicular traffic and is exclusively for hikers and bikers. Its unique feature is the stunning exposure: you will walk along a rock ledge overlooking the turquoise waters of Lake Garda, with views extending from Monte Baldo to Torbole.
How to Experience It
In Mountain Bike: This is the quintessential route. Ascending towards Ledro via the Ponale is a rite of passage for every biker visiting the area.
