Surprising area of Croatia - Our group of 6 really enjoyed our time visiting Istria and it's beautiful towns and scenery. We had some confusion as to where to meet our driver/guide to start the tour. The map location provided was further away than the end of the ship ramp where he was waiting. Shame on us as we didn't look for the company sign in the windshield. Once on our way to Hum, it was a windy road but we were all comfortable. The smallest town lived up to the hype with its midieval buildings and spiced brandy! We should have brought trekking poles for the Motovun cobblestone hills as we hiked to the top for more glorious scenery and tastings of truffle products. Our last stop in Porec is where we had a divine lunch of pasta, seafood and truffles. Our guide Dwayne was an entertaining and knowledgeable guide throughout the day.
