Try Chef Angela's creations - comfortable place to relax for a few hours in between flights with great food. I visit the Plaza Premium lounge at B gates at YVR about once per month and the food is always great and changes every now and then to provide a nice variety for the regular traveler. Currently the Lamb stew and Eggplant Parmigiano is delicious, and I've tried to copy the Quinoa salad recipe at home but I'm missing something they use in their secret dressing I met Chef Angela on her rounds and had a pleasant conversation with her regarding her 'closely guarded' recipes. For two glasses of wine and a delicious buffet with seconds, the price tag is certainly cheaper than monks restaurant down the way. Shawn from Campbell River

Don't go here if you have to pay for access. - This was the only lounge that was available to us flying back to the US in Vancouver, BC, Canada departures. We didn't have a participating airline and just purchased a 3-hour day pass. It was not worth it at all. The place was extremely crowded, and the food offered was minimal. If you have food allergies, you are out of luck for the free food. Alcoholic beverages were extra. The soda machine had no ice; you needed to get it from the bar, then go back to the drink dispenser. The Pepsi choice was out of syrup, and I reported it to 3 different employees over the course of the 3 hours, and it never did get remedied. You are able to purchase additional food in this lounge, but again, it's a purchase. Basically, the only thing I was able to eat, being a celiac, were tortilla chips. Buffett-style food is heavily cross-contaminated and not worth the risk to eat. So for me, we paid for a place to sit that wasn't all that comfortable. Maybe I'm a bit spoiled, but I would have preferred to sit at one of the restaurants available in the terminal for a long meal that was safe to eat. It would have been less crowded and a lot less noisy. The seating accommodations available were chairs and tables, but nothing was available to kick back and really relax. I would not recommend this lounge, especially if you are actually paying for the day pass.

If u can even get past reception. - Wanted to pay to go in. Yes. No problem. But download the app. Yes. Done. And wait to be acknowledged. And waited..one girl working on the desk and people pouring in. Obviously our $ is not gd enough so eventually walked out. Step up to the plate premium lounge.

Not a happy camper. - We were not able to get to the venue due to airport security restrictions. I contacted Viator reference the matter for a refund but received no acknowledgement to-date. To make matters worse the airline cancelled our flights and we had to rebook our flights

Vancouver Int'l Airport Plaza Premium Lounge - Avoid all-together. Rip off. CAD$122 for a plate of caesar salad with 2 cubes of chicken and 1 tiramasu square. No staff present helping customers. Hot food choices awful: dried tomato pasta with 2 vege meatballs, mashed potato, one scoop of some fish dish. It was revolting. I paid less for lounge access in Auckland and it was an incredible experience.

Lousy reception - Stupid staff at reception, it's the first time flying in bussines, and arriving before 3 hours they won't let me in.. I know what the rules are.. but the lack of education of the staff is what bothers me..and all this dp of 10 minutes queuing.. behind a passenger who didn't know anything

Shockingly poor lounge for paying business class guests! - After more than a year of delays to reopen, what a disappointment. Yes, nice new seating, but that's it. When you walk in you are pushed to pay an extra fee to access the real lounge. Otherwise you are shown into the "service station" lounge. Actually, gas stations have way more options for food and drink. I opted for the tacos. Mushroom great, chicken was processed shredded chicken goop from a can. Horrible. Salads just as limited. Coffee machines out of order. No bottled or canned soda, only tonic. Thought I'd try a dessert. Amazing selection of TWO little types of cake. Nothing else. Want a sandwich, nope, none. So as a traveller who shelled out for a business class ticket to India via London, I was horrified. Come on. Your food and beverage service was WAY better in the temporary lounge. It is disgusting that you try to squeeze an addition fee out of business class guests. Shame you are the only BA partner at YVR. YOU DO NOT STACK UP.
