• Reykjavik - The journey starts with a pickup from designated spots in Reykjavík. Relax and enjoy the picturesque drive to Iceland’s renowned South Coast.
• Hvolsvollur - A short stop is made at a service station for guests to use the restrooms and purchase snacks and drinks.
• Skogafoss - Be prepared to be amazed by one of Iceland’s largest and most stunning waterfalls. With an impressive 60-meter drop, Skógafoss creates a powerful mist that often results in vibrant double rainbows on sunny days. Visitors can walk up to the base of the falls to experience its immense power or climb the 527 steps to the observation deck for a breathtaking view of the coastline and the Eyjafjallajökull glacier volcano.
• Reynisfjara Beach - The next stop is for sightseeing and a lunch break at Reynisfjara. Here, visitors can stroll along the world-famous black sands of Reynisfjara, recognized as one of the most beautiful non-tropical beaches globally. Admire the massive hexagonal basalt columns and the jagged Reynisdrangar sea stacks rising from the North Atlantic. The guide will provide an essential safety briefing about the area’s powerful “sneaker waves”—pay attention to the warning level on the posted signage.
• Crashed DC 3 Plane - Upon reaching the Sólheimasandur parking area, guests will board a transfer vehicle for a brief, 15-minute drive across the hauntingly beautiful black sands to the renowned DC 3 Plane Wreck. This abandoned US Navy aircraft has become one of Iceland’s most cinematic landmarks, featured in major music videos and films. There will be time to explore the wreckage and take photos (without the exhaustion of the nearly 2-hour walk across the black sand field to the plane!) before returning on the transfer.
• Dyrholaey - Climb to the “Door Hill Island” for the most spectacular 360-degree views on the South Coast. From this 120-meter high promontory, you can gaze west across the endless black coastline toward Seljalandsfoss, and east to the Reynisdrangar sea stacks. The guide will lead visitors to the best vantage points to see the massive stone arch—a natural wonder carved by the sea—and the historic white lighthouse that has watched over these cliffs for over a century.
• Solheimajokull Glacier - Experience the raw power of nature at Sólheimasjökull, a magnificent “outlet glacier” flowing from the mighty Mýrdalsjökull ice cap. Enjoy a scenic walk to the edge of the glacier’s retreating ice wall and its stunning glacial lagoon.

Please note: This stop is for sightseeing and viewing the glacier from the lagoon area. It does not include a guided hike onto the ice itself.

• Seljalandsfoss - Visit a waterfall where you can walk behind a 60-meter-tall curtain of water. Seljalandsfoss is unique due to the wide cavern that allows visitors to fully encircle the falls. From behind the cascade, there is a spectacular view of the South Coast through a veil of mist. It is a powerful, sensory experience that is a must-see for any visitor. Bringing waterproof gear is recommended for this stop, as the spray is part of the fun!
• Reykjavik - Relax and reflect on the day as the drive back to Reykjavík commences, where guests will be dropped off at their selected stop.
