Snaefellsnes - love ves - What a great trip with Arctic Adventures! From the moment Gunnar picked us up, the whole experience was amazing. The Snaefellsnes Peninsula is wild and beautiful. It seems to be a path less well trodden but definitely worth it. Gunnar was so knowledgeable! Would definitely recommend this Company.

New - I have nothing to add! All well organized! The guide very good and prepared. If I really have to say something, I ask that there can be a guide who also speaks Italian

Engaging guide and lovely sights - Bjorn was a great guide! We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and were deeply enriched by his wealth of knowledge about Iceland. He was engaging and spoke clearly about the history of the country and about the volcanos. The sights were also breathtaking and spectacular! Northern lights at Borgarnes were the cherry on top of the great trip! We would recommend him if a guide is needed in Iceland!

Appreciation for VJERAN (the best tour guide) - VJERAN has been an amazing tour guide, bringing us to all the picturesque places around Iceland and purposely taking time out to bring us to extra places that was not included. And these places were AMAZING 🤩. the scenery was great and it fit well in the itinerary. I am very VERY pleased with his service and he didnt feel like a stranger to me but more as a friend. We need more people like him to be tour guides to bring the best experiences to tourists. He accommodated us very well and gave us ample time to check out the different attractions around Iceland. Love that fella. Hi VJERAN, if you’re reading this, i want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🙏🏼 we are glad to have you as our tour guide! love from singapore 🇸🇬

Spectacular - An incredible experience. Vik is a fantastic tour guide. He shared so many facts and stories about Iceland. March is when winter hit Iceland this year and Vik drove us through some crazy weather to allow us to experience the sights. The Icelandic cliffs are some of the prettiest in the world; the waterfalls partially frozen are beautiful; geothermal springs are fascinating; the crater walk is magical - so so much to see. Vik allowed us plenty of time to see the sights while timing our travels based on the weather forecast. One of the highlights was seeing the Northern Lights. The weather was cloudy all day. We checked into the hotel, had dinner and then the sky opened up, the stars came out and the lights appeared and danced for us for 2 hours -- a truly magical experience. This was our second tour with this group and I highly recommend them -- the guides are highly experienced, the groups are small and the itineraries showcase the beauty of Iceland.

Good Tour - Overall, a good tour! We experienced snowfall during the trip, which transformed the landscape into a magical winter wonderland—a truly unforgettable experience. The hotel we stayed in for the night, located in a quaint fishing village, was cozy and comfortable, adding to the charm of the adventure. However, while the tour is named the 2-Day Northern Lights and Snaefellsnes Peninsula Adventure, no effort was made by the guide to attempt Northern Lights viewing. This might have been due to unfavorable weather conditions, but it was still a bit disappointing not to see any proactive attempt. The sightseeing itself was enjoyable, but the guide could have been more engaging and shared additional facts about the places we visited to enrich the experience. All in all, the tour was good, with some room for improvement in guide engagement and Northern Lights planning.

The No Northern Lights Experience! Fiasco! - Terrible experience! The only one tour I did in Iceland that did not go well. The name of the tour is misleading - you are on your own about seeing the northern lights. The driver made no effort in taking the group to see them at night in low light spots around the peninsula. He even made an announcement as soon as we got in the bus about the name of the tour not describing what was expected at this time of the year. In April, there is no certainty to the availability to see the lights. This is entirely something else. Another unfortunate event was being the only guest with a two day package, squeezed in a five day tour with other groups. The hotel at the peninsula town was terrible - uncomfortable accommodation, tasteless food, and staff that for the most time were no where to be found. Artic Adventures seems to be one of the main tour companies in Iceland and perhaps is no longer paying attention to small details to provide great experiences to customers. I will not recommend this company when visiting the island. Perhaps changing the misleading name and clarifying to guests what to expect during the trip are better practices to be considered. Eastwest is a small, far superior tour company, excellent on the handling of guests needs.

Less than expected - While we had an excellent experience with the earlier lava cave tour we did with Arctic Adventures, this one was marginal. It started with communications. Apparently due to the harsh weather, Arctic flipped the days’ itineraries and did day 2 on day one. That would have been fine, but there was nothing that stated it might happen, so we did not have our items handy that we needed for the geothermal pools. Also the instructions we received with our reservation told us to pack a lunch and snacks, but there were places to buy lunch and snacks both days. The hotel we stayed at in Borgarnes was tired and dreary, with no hot breakfast options. The route seemed inefficient, with a lot of back and forth driving, meaning a lot of time in the van versus getting out and seeing the sights. Our guide was a very good driver, especially in the wet and snowy conditions, but seemed to spend more time talking about himself than Iceland.
