Great food tour and walking highlights of Reykjavík - We attended the food tour led by Stevie, as a group of friends. We had a great time - thoroughly enjoyed the food and the snippets of information on Reykjavík as we walked around. Stevie was amusing and informative, happy to answer our questions and give us useful tips. It was easy to buy a drink when this wasn’t included- well organised and smooth - would highly recommend the tour

Delicious and Exciting way to learn about Iceland! - We loved the Reykjavik Food Walk and especially our tour guide Katrin! Each of the stops was unique, thoughtful and delicious food. Katrin did an amazing job providing context and history for each dish and weaving in details about Icelandic life- family, culture, holiday traditions, sport, university life and much more. This made the tour much more than just food! We enjoyed the mix of high end cuisine (delicious smoked salmon, crispy char) and fun Icelandic treats like the famous hot dog and the rye bread ice cream. It was such an immersive way to learn more about daily life in Iceland and to sample the incredible ingredients local to Iceland and the creative cooking style. Highly, highly recommend!

Delicious food, knowledgeable guide, and good value for the price! - We booked this food tour as the last activity for our honeymoon in Iceland, and we’re so happy we did! Despite being here for 10 days, we hadn’t yet enjoyed 4/5 of the locations we went to. (The other one is a quick stop and a fan favorite 😉.) We came hungry and left satisfied, albeit not stuffed. People who had eaten beforehand struggled to enjoy everything, so definitely come hungry! Eating out is VERY expensive in Iceland, so given the high quality and amount of food, I would say that this tour is a great value for the cost. Without giving too much away, expect to enjoy some yummy fish and lamb dishes as well as dessert. Note that this is tour is very accommodating to dietary restrictions (my husband is pescatarian and didn’t have any issues), but not well-suited for picky eaters. We were also lucky enough to see the northern lights on our way to the last two stops, which was a lovely bonus. Lenny was our guide, and he was amazing! So kind, happy to answer any questions, and passionate about the food and Icelandic culture. We could not have asked for a more knowledgeable or personable tour guide. He even provided some personal recommendations in Reykjavik for those staying longer.

Best time on food tour in Reykjavik! - Everything about the trip was wonderful. The food at each restaurant was excellent! The variation on each restaurant experience was great( hot dogs to shark to bread ice cream, etc.) Most of Katherine our tour guide was incredible, informative and warm and friendly.

Fun, tasty, entertaining, sometimes manic way to be introduced to Reykjavik & local food. Do it! - What a fun night led by Dave, whose manic, bubbly personality, sometimes dry humour and always enthusiastic style led a friendly actively participating group of people around some of the local eateries and bars of Reykjavik. We didn't even notice the initial blustery winds and rain as we launched straight into an entertaining tour eating mostly tasty foods (yep the Fermented Shark was one of those things you had to try - but lets not kid ourselves - NOT tasty guys. Thank goodness for the Brennivín -Burning wine shot to wash it down with!) Still trying to perfect that Viking noise though Dave! GGrrrr! This is the second time we've done the tour - both times great and while last time I enjoyed it, Paula was unwell on a stopover (unrelated to the Food tour) and couldn't enjoy it despite the her best efforts - so when we came back on another three week tour of the Ring Road and we did the food tour again and had a blast. Thank you Jenny for the first time and thank you Dave this time. Full Viking! 😁😉 .... and yes we know you do the Shark to %^&@ with the tourists - good one guys 🤣. Skoll!

Fun and Delicious - This was a great tour. We did an early tour, starting at 10.30, and as other reviewers recommended, came hungry (we skipped breakfast). We started out at BakaBaka with tea/coffee and different pastries. We than went to Messinn where we enjoyed two fish dishes (panfried arctic char and Plokkfiskur) - both were wonderful. Next was Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur for the famous Icelandic hot dogs. At Íslenski Barinn we had lamb soup and for those who wanted, fermented shark. The tour ended with rye bread ice cream and tea/coffee at Café Loki. Rye bread ice cream sounds strange perhaps, if you have never had it, but it tasted good and the flavor was less strong then I had imagined (just Google it). The food we had at the different places was very good, I enjoyed it very much. There was also plenty of it. What I really liked is that we got to taste many different typical Icelandic dishes in a single tour. Your tour may go to different place and enjoy different dishes, but I am confident the food will be very good and interesting, and you will sample some typical dishes. Apart from the food, we has a great tour guide (Tómas Howser) who was very friendly, knew a lot about Iceland and seemed to enjoy being our guide. He provided information about the food we ate and on the way from one restaurant to another pointed our some famous buildings and landmarks in Reykjavik. He also had some great tips about places to visit in Iceland. Finally, we had a fun, friendly group of people from different countries. We do not typically do organized tours while on vacation, but I am glad we did.

Best food tour - We had the best time on this tour! Our guide Minty was fantastic and taught us a lot about Icelandic cuisine. We got to go to 5 different locations around the downtown area and try lots of traditional Icelandic cuisine. Wonderful tour if you are an adventurous eater!

Reykjavík Food Walk - I’ve been to Iceland a few times, but had never visited most of the places featured in the tour. What an incredible collection of foods and restaurants. My trip was made better for it. Lenny was an excellent guide. I recommend this for anyone!
