Best experience ever - Honestly, it was one of the best experiences we had here in Iceland. The tour guide was extremely informative, funny, and made the most of our time. We got amazing photos and had wonderful experience out in the cold. Wish I could give 10 out of 5

Exceptional tour and guide! - I highly recommend this tour. Their communication was great and we loved our tour guide, Trond. He was open up front that he couldn’t guarantee we would see them but explained all the ways their team monitors the weather and aurora activity to give us the best shot to catch them. Their expertise paid off and we ended up seeing an amazing show and with professional grade pictures to remember it by.

Great experience with a great guide - We had a great time with Tomas as our guide. Within a few minutes of the tour starting we pulled over as Tomas could see the northern lights faintly - at this time they just looked like a slightly green cloud overhead. Fortunately at the next two places we stopped the lights were much more active and we were able to get some great photos. Tomas was great at taking photos himself with a professional camera and tripod setup, and was also able to help us adjust camera settings both on DSLRs and smartphone cameras to get the best shots possible (the photos attached here are from my phone, not the professional ones Tomas did). Tomas definitely seemed to know some great spots to see the lights clearly where there weren’t any other tour groups and we’re really pleased with the experience we had and the photos we got. We were also glad we went with this tour provider as it was a smaller minibus than some of the other tour companies we saw picking up from the hotel. Overall a great experience!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! - My experience with Aurora Vikings was nothing short of magical! From the very start, their team went above and beyond to make our Northern Lights tour unforgettable. I wanted to plan a surprise proposal, and they helped with every single detail. The personal touch and genuine care they put into the experience made it feel truly unique.
A huge shout-out to our incredible guide, Tomas. He was knowledgeable, warm, and absolutely dedicated to making the night special. Tomas knew exactly where to take us for the best views of the Aurora, and his enthusiasm was infectious. Not only did he help orchestrate the perfect moment for my proposal, but he also captured stunning, magical photos we’ll treasure forever.
Aurora Vikings combined professionalism with heartfelt hospitality, and it’s clear they genuinely love creating extraordinary memories for their guests. I cannot recommend them enough for anyone looking for a once-in-a-lifetime Northern Lights adventure – especially if you want it to be extra special!

Wow! - Magic! I feel extremely lucky to have seen the Northern Lights my first night, part luck and part genius - Tomas our guide was fabulous tracking the areas and then the fantastic photos he captured and very patient )) hot chocolate bonus warm up. I didn't know the camera captures the lights better than visually- he used a tripod they turned out great! Definitely recommend! Grazie Tomas! Tamara

AMAZING experience seeing the Northern Lights! - We were worried that we might miss the Northern Lights, but that was quickly put to bed after joining this tour. Tomas led our tour and was absolutely amazing! He was super knowledgeable and experienced. He explained the science of tracking them, level set with us in terms of expectations, and also explained some of the theories from the Vikings. His enthusiasm was infectious and he was happy to answer any questions and chat.
We had a wonderful experience. Pick up and drop off, photos with a professional camera, and hot chocolate was included. I would absolutely recommend and would rebook if I visited again. Thank you so much Tomas and Aurora Viking!!

The Perfect Northern Lights Experience - great experience,tour guide was great and really knew his stuff! he made the experience one to remember with great information about the history of iceland and knowing the perfect routes, i am so grateful we had Thomas as our guide. I will %100 recommend this excursion to everyone i know.

Awesome experience - Tomas was very thoughtful and knowledgeable. He made all of us feel comfortable and arlt easy wirh each other. He shared stories and made our experience even more pleasant. Hot chocolate and cookies were both delicious and the pictures turned out much better than expected.

Nice build but not great photos or location.Not worth price. - Tour guide was really nice and we were very lucky to see the lights. I regret paying extra for the photo experience vs tours 1/3 of the price because we didn’t get far enough out of the city to escape the light pollution at first, it was just a highway on the outskirts. The whole focus was on photos and there was a lot of lights and saying the aurora can only be captured with a camera which I know isn’t true as I saw all the colors last time I was in Iceland just in the city with my naked eye. For all the camera focus and lights from that and everyone else on the tour making photos and videos I would have expected better photos. The authentic Viking weapons and costumes are a toy sword and shield only. The photos weren’t good, we looked grainy and our eyes were closed and they was a lot of ugly road and pilons and lights making it look over exposed. Didn’t seem like professional photos like the ones shown. We did then drive to a darker more picturesque location thankfully and saw the lights in relative peace which was magical and I liked having the reliability of communication from Viator and getting picked up from my nearest bus stop and the van was comfy, not too hot or cold, just for me didn’t warrant this kind of price tag vs competitors.
