Reykjavik - A City That Gives Around Every Corner - We came for nature. The city made us stay longer. After days of waterfalls, geysers, and volcanic landscapes, we expected Reykjavik to be a pleasant stop. It became so much more. This is a city that reveals itself slowly - not through landmarks, but through corners.Every street brought something new. A turquoise ice cream shop with a pink door. A turf-roofed boutique glowing with warm light. Houses in purple, lime green, deep red - side by side, somehow harmonious. Small shops full of someone's passion. Murals appearing where you least expect them. And then: Skólavörðustígur. The rainbow street. Pride colours painted permanently into the pavement, stretching all the way up to Hallgrímskirkja. A city making a statement without saying a word: every love belongs here. What surprised us: The colours aren't random or chaotic. Everything feels considered. Bold, but not loud. Playful, but grounded. We stopped noticing the cold because our eyes - and then our hearts - felt warm.Practical tip: Walk slowly. Turn corners. Look up. The best of Reykjavik isn't on any map - it's in the details between destinations. We've visited capitals across Europe. This small northern city showed us something rare: a place that doesn't perform for tourists. It simply is itself - colourful, kind, and quietly confident.

Great tour - Great walking tour that covered the highlights. We appreciated the several good food suggestions along the way. Hallgrimskirkja was a huge highlight. We stopped along the way at Braud, the settlement museum, and the coffee shop in the old harbor.

Exploring Reykjavik with Lucca - We absolutely loved our walking tour of Reykjavík! Our guide, Lucca, was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable, engaging, and full of energy. He made the entire experience both fun and memorable. A highlight was when he surprised us, when we stopped for a moment, with some special local treats, introducing us to Hraun chocolate delights. They were so delicious that we headed straight to the supermarket afterward to buy some to bring home

Excellent Reykjavik Walking Tour - Our Guide Luca was excellent! I highly recommend this tour guided by him. As it turned out it was effectively a private tour since only the 3 of us were booked on the day of the tour. He knew his history and this town.
