Iceland is often referred to as the land of the Sagas, and during this walk, participants will hear many thrilling tales about Iceland’s hidden people and creatures.
The tour will cover fascinating stories about Icelandic Elves, Trolls, and Ghosts, such as the Deacon of the Dark River, as well as unique aquatic monsters. Participants will also learn about the 13 Santas (because one Santa Claus is simply not enough in Iceland) and their mother, the child-eating troll named Grýla. Additionally, there will be an introduction to Icelandic magic and ancient runes.
This experience is ideal for those seeking a bit of adventure, as the stories truly come to life during the walk. For families, please note that some stories may be frightening for young children, so feel free to contact us for a private walk where the level of scariness can be adjusted. ;)
After the delightful walk, the group will conclude the experience at a wonderful Icelandic restaurant for a delicious traditional lunch!
