Delightful Taste of Iceland - Our tour guide Paul was fabulous. Friendly and really informative about the city and country. He answered everything we wanted to know and more. Guests should ask lots of questions and be open to trying the food. You get little bits of a lot, including pastries and appetizers.

Super fun and beyond my expectations! - Our Christmas food tour in Reykjavik went beyond my expectations. Einar was a great guide that showed us around town and introduced us to Icelandic folklore, poetry, and delicious food! The food was unique and the candy shop experience was extra fun. This food tour is one of the main highlights I talk about with others. I really miss Iceland and I'd love to come back for a summer trip eventually!

food and fun - What a fun time we had! We got to sample several food items (be sure to come hungry) and learned a lot of the city from our guide as well while walking from place to place. If you only have an afternoon in town, we highly recommend it!

Warm times - I went in December, which was a challenge (most tours cancelled). This was a delightful cocoa visit with stories and wonderful company. I would highly recommend it, and it was my most treasured activity on this particular vacation.

A Great Way to Immerse in Christmas in Iceland - Such a fun way to spend Christmas Day! The spots we hit to try holiday-type foods were fun and filled with many revelers! Pauli, our guide, was knowledgeable, funny and had great stories and lore. I personally could have done without the candy store and maybe enjoyed some other sweet treat, like a pastry. This tour would have garnered five stars, but Viator provided us with the wrong tour start time. As we were strolling to our meeting location, which our tickets said was 12:30, I received a very curt call from Your Friend in Reykjavik saying everyone was waiting for us. When I mentioned the tickets said 12:30 I was told this tour is NEVER at 12:30 and always begins at noon. So, we met the group at the end of their first stop. They left us some of the food though, so that was good. And no one seemed bothered. Lesson learned: check with your tour operator before you do something like this tour. Don't rely on your Viator tickets!
