Arctic Adventures - The tour begins with a convenient pick-up in Reykjavik.

Seljalandsfoss - Seljalandsfoss is a stunning waterfall located in South Iceland, featuring a 60-meter (197 ft) drop. Its uniqueness lies in the ability for visitors to walk behind the waterfall into a small cave, offering a breathtaking 360° view. The water source is the Eyjafjallajökull glacier volcano.

Skogafoss - Skógafoss ranks among Iceland’s largest waterfalls, measuring 25 meters (82 feet) in width and dropping 60 meters (197 feet). Situated on the Skógá River in southern Iceland, a staircase allows visitors to ascend to the top for a view of the roaring cascade. Legend has it that the first Viking settler, Þrasi Þórólfsson, hid a treasure in a cave behind the waterfall.

Reynisfjara Beach - Reynisfjara is a globally renowned black sand beach on Iceland’s South Coast, famous for its striking basalt columns, the Reynisdrangar sea stacks, and the powerful waves of the Atlantic Ocean.

Wool Gallery Vik i Myrdal - The journey includes a drive through the picturesque town of Vík en route to the accommodation.

Skaftafell National Park - Skaftafell is a nature reserve within Vatnajökull National Park in southeast Iceland. Known for its varied landscapes, it features glaciers like Skaftafellsjökull and Svínafellsjökull, impressive waterfalls such as Svartifoss, and hiking trails that highlight Iceland’s natural beauty. Once a standalone national park, it is now part of the larger Vatnajökull National Park, drawing visitors with its outdoor activities and stunning scenery.

Volcano Eyjafjallajokull - Eyjafjallajökull is an Icelandic stratovolcano topped with an ice cap, most famous for its 2010 eruption that significantly disrupted European air travel due to its ash cloud.

Solheimajokull Glacier - Sólheimajökull is an outlet glacier extending from the Mýrdalsjökull ice cap in Southern Iceland. Its accessibility makes it a favored spot for guided glacier hikes and ice climbing. Notably, it is a “climate glacier” that visibly reacts to climate change, with a rapidly retreating ice front.

South Coast, Jokusarlon, Reykjavik

Jokulsarlon - Jökulsárlón is a breathtaking glacial lagoon in southeast Iceland, famous for its floating icebergs that calve from the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier. This dynamic and ever-evolving landscape offers a spectacular view as ancient ice drifts towards the sea.

Diamond Beach Jokulsarlon - Diamond Beach, situated on Iceland’s south coast, is a remarkable black sand beach where icebergs from the nearby Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon are washed ashore.

Myrdalsjokull Glacier - In the summer, guided tours provide a unique opportunity to explore the Katla Ice Cave within the Mýrdalsjökull glacier in Iceland. Visitors can marvel at the striking blue ice formations and learn about the volcanic activity of Katla beneath the ice cap.

Vatnajokull National Park - During winter, visitors can explore the awe-inspiring Crystal Ice Cave within Vatnajökull National Park. This seasonal wonder offers a chance to see the stunning blue ice formations created by glacial meltwater, providing a unique and unforgettable experience.

Reykjavik - The return to Reykjavík is scheduled for around 21:00 pm.

This two-day guided tour showcases the key attractions of Iceland’s south coast. Experience the renowned waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, the black-sand beach at Vík, and the stunning Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. Additionally, marvel at the beauty of a natural ice cave. In the winter months, enjoy the chance to witness the northern lights at night, far from the city lights.

• You are required to hike up to three hours in a day

• This tour has the flexibility to make the most of the seasonal changes such as changes in weather and conditions. During the summer Iceland is characterized by energizing bright nights and midnight sun. Between August and May, if the forecast is suitable, you might even be able to spot the magical show put on by the Northern Lights. It is important to note that a guided Northern Lights hunt is however not included in the tour. Other wonderful and interesting possibilities can also come up during your south coast tour with us as Iceland is full of surprises.
• We use a couple of different ice caves for our 2 day South Coast tour. Ice caves are ever-changing and unpredictable natural phenomena. We usually visit the Crystal Cave at Breiðmerkurjökull during this tour but when the Crystal Cave is inaccessible we will most likely visit Katla Ice Cave. Which ice cave is chosen will however always depend upon the conditions and safety considerations on the day, sometimes a different ice cave will be visited. If conditions do not allow us to visit an ice cave a glacier hike will be offered as an alternative.
