- Reykjavik - The adventure starts in Reykjavík, the lively capital of Iceland and the northernmost capital city globally. After pickup, the tour departs the city, traveling along the picturesque South Coast, renowned as one of the country’s most breathtaking areas. The day includes visits to waterfalls, glaciers, black sand beaches, and striking ocean cliffs, concluding with an exceptional Viking storytelling event in the evening.
- Seljalandsfoss - This is one of Iceland’s iconic waterfalls, featuring a path that lets visitors walk behind the cascading water. The view from behind offers a unique perspective of the surrounding scenery.
- Gljufrabui Waterfalls - A secluded waterfall nestled within a narrow canyon, just a short distance from Seljalandsfoss. Partially hidden by cliffs, it feels like a secret spot discovered through a small rock opening.
- Skogafoss - A majestic and powerful waterfall plunging 60 meters from ancient sea cliffs. On sunny days, the mist often forms vibrant rainbows. Visitors can approach the waterfall’s base or ascend the staircase for sweeping views of the landscape.
- Solheimajokull Glacier - A remarkable outlet glacier descending from the larger Mýrdalsjökull ice cap. From the viewpoint, observe the striking contrast between white ice, dark volcanic ash layers, and the rugged glacial terrain shaped by ice and volcanic activity.
- Reynisfjara Beach - Known for its dramatic basalt columns, powerful Atlantic waves, and the Reynisdrangar sea stacks, Reynisfjara is one of Iceland’s most renowned black sand beaches. However, recent severe storms and strong wave activity have made beach access increasingly hazardous.
Due to the unpredictable and extremely strong “sneaker waves,” approaching the shoreline is not always safe. For safety, guests are not taken directly onto the beach when conditions are risky. Instead, a stop is made at a safe viewpoint to admire the dramatic coastline and view the Reynisdrangar sea stacks from a safe distance.
- Dyrholaey - A high cliff viewpoint offering stunning views over the South Coast. From here, the famous stone arch rising from the sea and the long stretch of black sand beaches extending toward Vík can be seen.
- Efri-Vik - The day ends with a unique cultural experience inspired by Iceland’s Viking heritage. Guests enjoy a traditional-style dinner while listening to captivating storytelling about Viking life, Icelandic sagas, and the legends that shaped the island’s history.
- Reykjavik - Following the Viking storytelling evening, the relaxed journey back to Reykjavík begins. The return drive passes through the tranquil countryside of South Iceland, providing a peaceful conclusion to a day filled with dramatic landscapes, history, and unforgettable experiences.
