• Reykjavik - The day tour kicks off with a swift and efficient pick-up service. Guests will be collected from either a central Reykjavik hotel or one of the numerous pick-up locations throughout the city. Once everyone is on board, the journey begins.
• Thingvellir National Park - The first stop is Þingvellir National Park, offering the unique opportunity to walk between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, which are separating at a rate of approximately 2.5 cm per year. Visitors can explore the park, admire the stunning Öxarárfoss waterfall, and visit the site of Iceland’s first parliament, known as Althingi.
• Geysir - The tour then proceeds to the Geysir geothermal area, home to the active Strokkur geyser, which erupts roughly every 10 minutes. There will be ample time to capture the perfect photo of the geyser erupting like a fountain. Nearby restaurants offer options for dining, souvenir shopping, or restroom breaks.
• Gullfoss Waterfall - The next highlight is the breathtaking Gullfoss, or Golden Falls. This powerful yet beautiful waterfall has attracted visitors since 1875, often showcasing rainbows or a golden glow in its glacial waters.
• Kerid Crater - Kerið, a volcanic crater lake in the Grímsnes area of southern Iceland, stands out as one of the country’s most visually striking geological features.
