A fabulous BusTravel Golden Circle tour from Reykjavik! - We took a BusTravel’s Golden Circle excusion, which picked us up at the Reykjavik cruise port on time as scheduled - luggage and all!- and transported us to the larger excursion bus where other passengers, from Reykjavik hotels, etc, were already on board. We felt fortunate to be the last group of passengers on, since we did not know how long everyone else was sitting there, waiting for the full list of passengers to be completed. The bus was full and our tour guide Berlind was amazingly knowledgeable, friendly, professional and completely fluent in her English. Because of her upbeat attitude even the rain- heavy at times- did not spoil the incredible excursion we had- waterfalls, geothermal fields with a shooting geyser, a volcanic crater with a lake of incredible colors, Icelandic ponies to pet, farmland and trees, a black sand beach- and more. Beforehand,BusTravel did a great job keeping in touch and responding to our email queries in a timely fashion. As for cost: much less expensive than taking the cruise ship’s same excursion. We would highly recommend BusTravel. Even though they don’t take you exactly door to door when they drop you off, the bus stop dropoffs are geared to be a few minutes walk at most to your hotel at the end of the tour. And if you are lucky enough to have Berlind as your guide, you will be even more delighted with all you learn about the awesome Iceland landscape, culture, and people. Kudos to BusTravel Tour Company!

From History to Hot Dogs - What a great overview of Iceland and some of its wonders! Karin was a great guide. She explained the sites and their history as well as much about Iceland like ponies and great hotdogs. Only problem was the very cold strong wind but at least we had sun and could see everything. 😀

Fantastic! - This tour was awesome! Beautiful scenery and lush landscapes on the way to each venue. This tour didnt disappoint. The Thingvellir National Park has breathtaking views and so interesting. The geysirs are a great wonder, but blink and you'll miss them. They happen around every 6-10 minutes so be patient! Dont stand down wind as you'll get soaked. Bit of a smell, but nothing too offensive. The Gullfoss Waterfall is spectacular. Its very windy here. Steps lead fown to a platform. Anyone who struggles with stairs, as I do, may struggle to get back up, as I did! Worth it tho! Each stop has toilets, shop and restaurant. This trip made for fantastic photos and memories. Well worth it and not too tiring to be honest.

Tour was good. Arrangements for pick up not good. - The pick up at bus stop was scheduled for 7:30. We were there for 7:20. The bus did. Not arrive until between 7:45 and 7:50, At 7:45 I turned on my phone - at a cost of about $20 Cdn. The tour operator did not answer so I called the 24/7 customer service number - she got no answer from the operator. I expect I will have incurred additional cost for this long call. We arrived after 8:00 for the tour bus and consequently were not able to sit together. Disappointing start. The tour guide was excellent and we enjoyed the tour, but the rocky start and additional costs were disappointing.

Golden Curcle - Important sights around Reykjavik with significant bus time due to distance between. On our tour the guide was knowledgeable but hard to understand due to the bus audio system

The Golden Experience - We had to wait for 50 minutes from the pickup time we were given. Hence because of this the tour started late. To make up for this, visiting places where 15/20m less to return back in time. The guide bossed everyone around including the driver. 🙃

Great sights, but better avoid Gray Line - Great spots, the Golden Circle is highly recommended, but I would never again choose Gray Line: I selected Gray explicitly because they advertised longer stops than their competitors. As a photographer, time is essential for making good shots without having to hurry. But the first two stops were each 15 minutes shorter than advertised, and the guide commented that he could not extend them and their advertising was unfortunately incorrect. Bad company, grabbing customers with lies.

Save your money, Do Golden circle on your own - You would do better to rent and drive yourself for this one . Not worth the money. And the guide was dry, strict, humorless, and dismissive. Boring . The dull drone of the narration was stronger than a sleeping pill. So you could catch up on your sleep, ( expensive nap though it may be ) .

Great sights; unfriendly tour - Visited the places advertised which were all worth seeing. Pick up and drop off was not clear, disorganised and late. We found the tour guide unfriendly and rude. We wouldn’t recommend this tour company - there are better choices in Reykjavík.

Worst service ever. Will never book with this company - Horrible service, would never book anything with this company again. Booked Aug 7 @8:00AM tour, arrived on time and waited for 19 min without showing, so I began to send several messages without any reply. I asked a tour guide from another company to help me to call them (I could not call International number) but no one answered. Waited after 9 AM and had to give up. We did not receive any communication from them until 2.40 PM stating they hoped we already commuicated the driver through another way! I am in a process to get a refund. My friends had similar situation on this day and had their refund.
