Great trip, Be prepared for the weather - Brilliant trip, hats off to Kajus our driver as the weather was very wet, windy and snowy and I would definitely not want to drive a 4x4 around. Let alone a bus.
Gudjon our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information about place we drove past and stopped at.
We see geezers erupt, waterfalls, and the North American/European plate.
The bus was full so quite a lot of people to keep interested and Gudjon definitely did that.
When we stopped to view the observation deck at the waterfalls the wind was so strong and we had sleet, snow, rain so layer up and be ready for the weather to change, as it does on a regular basis.
The souvenir shops and food places are quite expensive.
Unfortunately due to the weather the northern lights sight seeing trip was cancelled but we re - booked the trip for the next evening and got to see some amazing views.
I would definitely recommend booking the northern lights trip at the start of your holiday so you can re- book later if your trip gets cancelled.
Overall a brilliant trip and I would definitely recommend if you want to see the natural beauty of Iceland 🇮🇸.

10.5/10 experience, would recommend - Albert was our tour guide and parvel was our driver. Albert was very friendly and informative, he was also extremely helpful if anyone had any questions. He speaks incredible English, and I noticed he can also speak many other languages too. We would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Iceland! We loved it!

Two unforgettable experiences in Iceland – Golden Circle & Northern Lights - Our experiences with Golden Circle Direct were absolutely incredible. The Golden Circle tour offered breathtaking views at every stop — powerful waterfalls, geysers, dramatic landscapes, and nature that feels truly untouched. Everything was well organized, with a comfortable pace and time to really enjoy each location.
The Northern Lights tour was simply magical. We were lucky enough to see the auroras, and it was an emotional and unforgettable moment. Watching the lights dance across the sky is something we will carry with us forever.
A special mention goes to the guide — warm, kind, and attentive — who made both experiences even more enjoyable. Their positive energy and interesting explanations created a truly pleasant atmosphere throughout.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Iceland. These were highlights of our trip!

Great experience with super hosts and guide. Breathtaking scenery - Tour guide Eric and driver Eirikúr were brilliant.
Eric was very knowledgeable and witty and made the journey fun as well as informative, the broke the journey up a lot and made it pass very quickly. There were plenty of stops for food and drinks and sights along the way. Each stop was fantastic and breathtaking. We really enjoyed the day.
Also, he gave us the opportunity to relax and rest on the ride home ready for the northern lights tour which was a nice touch.
I would definitely recommend this tour and the tour company.

Amazing tours of Iceland with Reykjavík Excursions! - Fantastic 6 hour tour to see the main 3 attractions on the golden circle. “Frosty” was a brilliant tour guide around the golden circle, very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The tour was very well timed and was the perfect introduction to Iceland for people who might not know where to start. Make sure you bring plenty of warm clothing in the winter and keep your phone fully charged for some amazing photo opportunities of some impressive sprouting hot springs, waterfall and a tectonic plate rift valley!
The northern lights tour combo was well worth the added cost. The team were extremely proactive in making sure the coaches took everyone to a spot away from light pollution and with clear skies, and even though on the night I went the chance of seeing the Northern Lights was the lowest possible (KPI 1) they still managed to get us some incredible bucket list views of the lights, so thank you! Group sizes were big for both tours but this didn’t have any negative impact whatsoever and certainly shouldn’t put off using RE.

Great experience - I took the Golden Circle tour in Iceland on December 25th, and it was an unforgettable experience. Despite the winter conditions, everything was perfectly organized and felt very safe. The landscapes were absolutely stunning, especially with the snow and winter light.
What truly made the tour exceptional was our guide Marianne. She was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about Iceland. She explained the history, geology, and local stories in a clear and engaging way, and she was always happy to answer questions. Her enthusiasm and professionalism made the day both educational and fun. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you’re lucky enough to have such an amazing guide.
