Great educational tour! - We had such a fun time on the Cave Explorer tour! Our guide was hilarious and informative as he walked us through how the cave was created throughout time from a volcano eruption (sorry, can't remember his name!). The tour takes the full time, and when we were there the first week of August the cave was just above freezing, so bring layers including a warm hat and gloves! We had some strange comments on our tour from others so let me say this: #1) this is an educational tour, not a thrill seeking nonstop cave exploration tour. The group stops in different sections for 10 minutes or so to learn. If you have children who can't sit still or won't be able to handle listening during the tour, perhaps don't bring them or don't book this tour. I found it to be informative and fun, and anyone who can do sets of steps and can walk on ramps should be able to do this tour! #2) if you choose to bring children, leave the light up shoes at home.

Nice to see the inside of the lava tube - Very interesting to see the lava tube, one of the largest of its kind. Our guide from Finland is a humorous professional guide. We really enjoyed this activity.

- First thing I noticed when we arrived was a tip jar. WTH? Is this not Iceland? Very disappointing. But it got better from there. Once the tour got going, we were glad to get out of the weather and into the cave. But the floor was VERY VERY SLIPPERY for a while. Not kidding, this attraction *could not* exist as-is in the U.S. - too dangerous and not ADA compliant, for starters. Fine by me. Thank God do-gooders haven't yet converted Iceland into Disneyland. The ice stalagmites and ice crystals on the walls were beautiful! If you're looking for a break from waterfalls, you should check out this cool volcanic cave.

Best guided tour we had! - We went today on the 3th of July 2025 and It did not disappoint. Our guide Hilary was the absolute best part. Funny, charming and a musical spectacle to end it of (ask for her this summer!). 10/10 experience.

Advisor, original experience - Interesting experience visiting a lava tunnel, following an eruption of the volcano. An interesting and captivating Irish guide, she has a very good grasp of her subject.

Awesome cave experience - It was a really good tour. Our guide was friendly and informative - talking about the caves formation and several features found inside. The path is mostly covered with wooden walkways (the one exception is at the start of the cave, which has some mats covering the ice/water) so it is easy to navigate and very safe. I highly recommemd this tour.

Single training - Very cold. Very interesting and unique. The formation of this cave is fascinating. Good guide and all very kind and prepared. Part of the explanation could be done in the bar at a proper temperature! Thank you.

Well Run Facility! - It is a well run facility with good tour guides. Pretty interesting stuff. It has a nice boardwalk through most of the tunnel which makes it easy to navigate.

Weak - Very weak. The guide was weak, the cave is weak and the price is high. Doesn't justify the entire visit. Expriencia not to repeat
