Best snowmobile and ice caves with Thor! - We went on the glacier snowmobiling and ice caves in late November with Thor as our guide. What a fabulous trip on a super cold day. Thor made the trip so safe and comfortable and was the best. Once on the snowmobile and ice caves tour we were just amazed at what we experienced. So beautiful and interesting. Definitely worth the cost. Top notch people, equipment and experience!

The nearby waterfall was absolutely stunning — such a perfect Iceland experience! I also had such an amazing experience! Our guide, Ryan, was full of energy, humor, and fascinating local stories that made the whole trip unforgettable. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and knows how to make every moment fun and engaging. I’d definitely love to join his tour again and highly recommend him to anyone visiting!

A magnificent excursion - The highlight of the excursion is the cave in Langjokull Glacier. It's unique, and it's to be done. The guide gave us all the necessary information. It's very rewarding. The second highlight is the Barnafoss waterfall, a marvel.

Ice Cave was great - Ride up there from Húsafell was not - I've been torn on how to write this review because the issues we experienced were not part of the tour that Arctic Adventures had control over, rather they were due to Into the Glacier's company's issues. Our guide from Arctic Adventures, Guna, was fantastic. Nothing I say in this review is a reflection on her unless it's positive. Our tour started with a lovely surprise stop (I don't want to give it away!) that was both interactive and very informative. It was a wonderful surprise that we enjoyed quite a bit. Guna was very good about making sure everyone was comfortable and understood when and where to get back, when we should eat, etc. We stopped at Barnafoss next for a chance to eat, use the restroom, and enjoy the waterfall. After that, off to the main attraction - the ice cave. This is where the tour got difficult. We loaded into what they call a monster truck with...no heat. In December. On a glacier. In Iceland. Needless to say, it was a cold ride, especially since they had the fans for the heat blowing so we basically had AC the entire hour+ ride up. The guide in our vehicle did not seem to notice and made jokes about us being cold. We could see our breath the entirety of the ride. Once in the ice cave (which was warmer than the ride up), the tour was informative. It was interesting to hear about how it was created, how the glacier is moving, and some of the changes they've seen. Back on the truck, we were assured the heat was working. It was not. We were the coldest we can ever remember being. About halfway through, I was able to at least get them to turn the fans off which helped a small amount. Again, the guide did not seem to notice (and it was a different guide). Back at the main meeting point, we got back on the bus, told Guna we were all frozen beyond frozen. She was all apologies and cranked the heat in the sprinter van trying to help us thaw. Unfortunately, it did put a damper on the tour for us because of how raw and cold it was. The interesting is Guna told us that people generally come back from that ride overheated. Hopefully they'll get that repaired in the future as it was a miserable hour+ ride in each direction. Aside from the heating issues on the way up the glacier, the tour was great. I think if the heat had been working, this would have been a 5 star review.
