The Real Crete:

This excursion offers a wonderful opportunity to explore various locations that embody the traditional lifestyle and historical aspects of Crete. The journey begins at Melidoni Cave, a site rich in history dating back to the Neolithic Period, as evidenced by the tools and artifacts discovered there. The next destination is the village of Margarites, renowned for its pottery heritage spanning many generations. The third stop is the Arkadi Monastery, the oldest monastery in Crete. The tour then proceeds to the village of Apostoli, where visitors can explore an old olive oil factory and learn about the olive oil production process. In this village, guests will also dine at a traditional tavern while enjoying the delightful sounds of live Cretan music. The penultimate stop is at Saint Antonios Gorge, perfect for capturing memorable photos, and the final destination is the “Fragma Potamon” Dam, home to a variety of animals and flowers.
