A must visit ! - Rethymno is a beautiful small city. It’s has a gorgeous historic old town and harbour. Rethymno has nice cafes and bars and a great selection of restaurants. The Fortezza is a must visit!

Highly recommended! - We booked a buggy tour with Discovery through our tour operator and are absolutely satisfied. We were picked up at our hotel in the morning and taken directly to the base. After a short registration and briefing we started straight away. Both quad bikes and buggies were part of our tour. It was very well organized by the two guides who were there. The 4 stages with the 3 breaks were perfectly planned. There were a lot of off-road trails where we had a lot of fun. The stop at the reservoir in the middle of the tour was beautiful. With a drink in the local café you could admire the lake and the landscape. The guides had water and a sandwich for everyone. We can recommend the tour to anyone who wants to have a guided but self-driving off road experience on their holiday.

Fun and dust - It was very worth it and was a lot of fun. Our guide was great, the route took us to places we would not have experienced here. Sunglasses, sun protection and possibly changeable clothes are recommended.

An unforgettable adventure – highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - We took part in the Quad Tour with Discovery Safaris in Rethymno as a couple – and it was just a perfect experience from start to finish! The organization was top: From the warm welcome to the detailed briefing to the great tour accompaniment – here you immediately notice that real professionals are at work with passion. The quads were also great for beginners to use and we each booked our own quad. We were particularly surprised by the varied and great routes – we didn’t expect so much landscape diversity and exciting trails! The route passed through beautiful nature, small villages and offered breathtaking viewpoints that we would certainly never have found on our own. The sense of security was always there – we always felt in good hands. The group was also super pleasant and colorfully mixed, which added to the tour. For us a real highlight of our holiday – 10/10! If you are looking for nature, adventure and fun, this is the place for you.

Buggy tour in the mountains, with lots of fun and action - Netter Guide. The buggy tour was a lot of fun. Only it was only three stops and 3 hours tour. Instead of 4 stops and 4 hours, as in the description. But it also took about an hour to finish helmets and instruction. There were no photos either. Otherwise, the vehicles were good. And the tour was action-packed and worth seeing.

Buggy ride of 3h30 - Quiet walk in the heights of Rethymnon, buggy and quad bike in very good condition, very professional team, some stops and especially view on the lake very pleasant, for us they lacked a little energy to this really quiet tour but I understand safety above all, to do without hesitation.

A major scare! The tour itself was fun, however, there are quality control issues that could’ve caused serious injury - Major quality control issues!! Our tour guide was great and what happened I’m sure wasn’t his issue, however, my daughter and her friend could have been seriously injured! No joke! From early on, driving in the buggy behind my daughter and her friend, I notice their front driver’s side wheel was angle out a bit from top to bottom. It didn’t appear to be an issue as my daughter who was driving didn’t mention any issues. However, none of us were familiar with driving this type of vehicle. Then, somewhere around the middle of the ride I noticed the angle of the wheel tilt increasing. We then hit a section of road driving at speed and thankfully we were going uphill and not off road on a section with any fall offs because my wife and I saw some puffs of smoke and then then tire quickly bending until the bottom of the tire was almost about to collapse inward. We immediately began thinking our horn furiously at her to get her to stop. She did, after her being confused, and then just in the nick of time because the tire then completely collapsed inwards. Had she not stopped who knows what would have happened. Thank God nothing serious happened!! But it could have. It was not the result of her driving, or the off roading, as it was the same as we all were doing - mostly fire road type off roading and street driving. Somebody should be responsible for checking the mechanical functioning of each vehicle after each ride. This was clearly not done as from the start of the tour the tire was tilted. Poor quality control that could have resulted in injury to my daughter. Another vehicle had also broken down earlier but that appeared to be an unpreventable mechanical failure of the gear box. They were able to get a replaced vehicle out quickly for those drivers. After my daughter tire literally fell off the vehicle they were able to put her and her friend on a quad. Actually, her boyfriend and my other daughter Tpke the quad and he had previous experience driving one and my other daughter and her friend took the boyfriend’s buggy. Moral of the story - caveat emptor - BUYER BEWARE…make sure you have a functioning vehicle!!
