Cooking with Chrysoula - Spent 16 days in Greece and cooking with Chrysoula was a definite highlight!! My husband and i were with another couple of friends. She welcomed us into her home and the food we prepared and ate was outstanding!! There was a total of 10 in the group and the other 6 we met were great and lots of fun!! We also indulged in "a little" Raki which was terrific!! Would do this again in a heartbeat!! Thanks!!

A memorable evening with Chrysoula - Chrysoula is delightful, and her cooking school is the BEST! Chrysoula welcomed our group of women to her cooking school, and immediately we felt like we were with an old, dear friend. Chrysoula cooks with passion and brought us right into her world. We made a full multi-course dinner and followed dinner by making dessert. She makes it look effortless, but really what we experienced was a skilled cook, teacher and hospitality star!

Amazing Food, Fantastic Fun, and So Much Raki! - We booked Chrysoula’s private cooking class earlier this month (2nd October) to celebrate a 60th birthday with our family, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the very start, Chrysoula was so warm, welcoming, and full of fun — she instantly made us feel at home.
She went above and beyond to make the day special and personal, even surprising us with a homemade birthday cake and sending us home with plenty of raki! Her sense of humour, kindness, and passion for cooking made the whole experience feel like we were spending the day with family.
The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere relaxed and full of laughter, and we all came away inspired (and very well fed!). It was the perfect way to celebrate a special occasion — we can’t recommend Chrysoula’s class highly enough.

A visit with my Greek mom and I'm Irish.... - We came not really sure how this was going to work. This was the best of the experiences we have had. We enjoyed learning how to cook some delicious foods and more time laughing. Then more laughter, some more cooking. Come hungry, very hungry. Both Chrysoulas and Dee, were fantastic, a team that worked seamlessly together. As we learned how to cook some fabulous dishes and made some new friends, we were introduced to "Greek water" and Greek measuring. We also enjoyed a little bit of greek family life, which is not to be missed. I would recommend this to anyone. Bravo...

Highlight of my trip! - Chrysoula and her fabulous helper, Dee, are the most welcoming people! Hugs and teasing begin from the minute you walk into Chrysoula’s lush garden/backyard and don’t let up till she’s hugging you goodbye. This cooking class is one of the most entertaining cooking classes I’ve attended. It really does feel like you’re experiencing (what I imagine) it’s like to have a big Greek family— a bit chaotic, ongoing jokes and laughter, everyone pitching in to help and a big feast at the end. Every bite was delicious and recipes are sent after the class, so no need to worry about memorizing how many glugs of olive oil was just added (the answer is a lot, by the way). We also had a vegetarian in our group, and chrysoula easily accommodated by making her a separate dish without meat. Overall, I highly recommend this class. It was easily one of the highlights of my trip. I came solo and left with a very full stomach and many new friends thanks to the amazing environment Chrysoula and Dee cultivate.

Chrysoula's Cretan Cooking Class is Authentic, Fun and Delicious - Cooking with Chrysoula was a wonderful, authentic experience. Together with our family, we learned the basics of Greek Cooking from stuffed grape leaves and squash blossoms, to Moussaka, tzatziki, fresh salad, and a traditional Greek pastry dessert. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Chrysoula made sure that all the guests at the class connected and had fun together. And that any dietary issues that were previously noted were accommodated. The class itself was very hands on with guest responsible for the various preparation tasks. Chrysoula provides clear direction and ensured we were prepping the ingredients correctly. She also provided context for each of the dishes and brought humor to the overall experience. All the ingredients we used were local, either from the property or from her family's farm nearby. This included the olive oil, herbs, vegetables, bread, cheese, etc. The resulting dishes were delicious. The location is special, with beautiful views of nearby olive groves. A definite "would do this again" with recipes and and ideas that we've back home with us.

Nice to cook together - It is not so much a course, but more fun about making lunch together. You are with other students and have a nice day with them

Great way to get an introduction to Cretan Food and Hospitality - We spend a very enjoyable morning at Chrysoula’s house making lunch and enjoying her fabulous hospitality. The food we made together was delicious and everyone took away some nice hints and tips as to how to recreate the lovely dishes. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun and it seemed everyone that attended today had a lovely time.

Bad experience, Bad food, Good location - Not what we imagined. It was less of a course and more of an unorganized sniping aid. The location was great, but unfortunately it lacked a bit of host qualities. The food was ultimately soaked in olive oil and hardly tasted or seasoned, so virtually no one ate their plate empty or wanted a dessert. Unfortunately, the hostess did not even attend the dinner or direct the conversation in the large group. During the "cooking" you hardly got told what we cook at all. Maybe we had a bad day, but we regretted it.
