I wish I would have asked for Mike or Robin to check my work. I should have made the river wider. . Also, I hope I like the wood better after the process is complete.

Fun class. Only thing is I didn’t realize it took 3 times to finish. Wish there was a make and pick - up option or a closer location. Really fun and very hands on.

I was generally disappointed in the class. Great idea, but terrible execution.... It was way overbooked and we started late. The instructions we received at the beginning of class were overall good, but didn't include the planing we were supposed to do downstairs ( so my friend almost missed this step). It took almost an hour to get through cutting the wood and there weren't enough supplies for us to all use the same type of wood. The website makes it seem like you can choose your pieces, but there is no choice. The wood was basically a straight live edge -- so not a very interesting resin river. Some of the participants got huge pieces that should have been cut down. When my friend tried to ask about this she was blown off... I was one of the last in the group to get my wood cut. So some people were already done with their boards by the time I was setting up. I felt like the staff was rushing me and they were not approachable with questions, which really took the fun out of the project. We also got very little instruction on the follow up visit. I asked and got a vague "We'll call you and you can schedule time"...The 6 or so people I spoke with all agreed that they would not do another class there.
