Worth exploring it - Not particularly related to the Bulgarian history but wow. Truly breathtaking castle with so much to see and experience in its gardens, museum, small zoo.

Amazing - It's has nothing to do with the Bulgarian history but it's ... Wow. So much hard work and passion this castle is the number one attraction in Bulgaria.

Finally we visited it. Wonderful! - One of the top attractions in Bulgaria. Very interesting with the e-guide we were supplied with. Wonderful history, story and set up. Very close to Sozopol.

Castle - Beautiful castle with gardens, animals. However it's not an ancient historical place. Some famous Bulgarian athlete build it few years ago and it's became new attraction I'm the area.

Poor - Not worth the visit, animals in poor condition, water fountains not working, cobwebs everywhere, waters green and stagnant, nothing open, no where to buy drinks, only souvenirs were at main entrance, pointless stop on a TUI trip. Would be fuming if I’d paid full price for this.

Beautiful castel, but not worth the price. - A very beautiful castle with charming gardens. The entrance ticket is quite expensive, and for the price, I expected more. It wasn't possible to enter the palace itself, except for one small room — the rest requires an additional fee. Some of the fountains at the castle weren’t working, which was disappointing. We stayed for about an hour, no more. There’s no convenient public transportation to the area, so you really need a car to get there. In my opinion, it’s not worth the price, and it would be better to visit another place instead.

Value for money 👎 - The sight, the park and the hall underground are fantastic. An extra payment for the hodgepodge of art galleries? Well- the price at 15€/person is actually high enough. Likewise extra payment for toilet, should be in it. Full price paid, but many fountains were no longer on in Oct, let alone the cafes. On Top: the castle is being renovated, it is not to be visited!!! We were annoyed - too bad. Was not recognizable when booking online 👎

Rubbish fake castle - Absolute rip off. Paid 30 euros each. No map given so had no idea what to look at. You cant get in castle so all you can see are grounds, a very small chapel and a throne room. Everything is pre fabricated and fake. Gardens are lovely. Zoo is one donkey, one llama, one peacock some birds. Only go if desperate for something to do.

Terrible treatment of animals - This is a beautiful place to visit and the gardens are amazing. The animals kept there though are treated so poorly. We saw a parrot in a cage under the blazing sun with nothing but a hot iron bar to purch on and a dog with an open would on its nose with no form of bandaging. Very disappointed
