This cave is recognized as one of the most ancient sites and a unique natural wonder, featuring a mystical underground waterfall and renowned for its beautiful “Stalactite” and “Stalagmite” pencil columns formed by ancient limestone.
• Udawalawe National Park - Udawalawe National Wildlife Sanctuary is the most famous Wild Elephant Sanctuary in Sri Lanka, situated at the foothills of the southern slopes of the central highlands. It is a savanna-classified grassland with a backdrop of dense jungle from both wet and dry zone rainforests. The sanctuary was created for animals displaced by the Udawalawe Reservoir and spans a vast area of 119 square miles, primarily established as a haven for wild elephants. The wildlife here is rich in diverse flora and fauna, with popular sightings of Sri Lankan Sambar Deer, Fishing Cats, Sloth Bears, Spotted Deer, Leopards, Wild Boars, Water Buffalo, Crocodiles, Elephants, and various birds.
