Nice visit to the zoo - Our driver was polite and professional and the experience went exactly as described. Ranua Zoo is beautiful and we saw a polar bear and snowy owl!

Great zoo - Super experience. We saw most of the animals and birds. Really big kids playground. Fazer candy shop was also a big plus. Definitely would like to visit again. Transfer service was really good

Very interesting - We leave until the end of the trip to Rovaniemi the visit to the frog zoo. It's winter and we were afraid the animals were hibernating. In the end we went and it was a success because the route is very beautiful and also the fact that it is snowing has made it even more magical. We have even had little time to see it, you can go longer and enjoy the playground and picnic area. We're really glad we didn't miss it.

Unusual but outstanding zoo - Most animals/birds were in their natural habitat; no cramped cages. A delightful walk through the zoo along a wooden "trail." Nice eateries for afterward, plus a sinful chocolate store to enjoy during the ride home. Worth the 1-hour drive each way.

Good visit - Recommend Helios tours, very knowledgeable guide and a good day out at Ranua. Lots of animals and birds around despite the weather

Great few hours spent. - We loved this day out. My only reservation was deleting the polar bears in an enclosure. Just didn’t quite feel right to me, but overall it was a lovely day out and experience. The ice bar was a cracking experience too.

More expected - The visit to the zoo was okay, the guide seemed a bit unmotivated, tired...the zoo itself was beautiful and idyllic, a bit small..in 1.5 hours we were back to the exit

Not recommend - The display glass was frozen and not possible to see through. Very limited number of animals displayed overall. We bearly manage to see any animals at all. It my opinion very expensive and not worth it trip. There is better ways to spend your time and money. I understand they have animals that are local for the area.. but there is no reindeer for example and it is their national animal.

Nice but expected better :) - If you are passing through I recommend it but just to see birds of prey, polar bear, reindeer and other typical Finnish animals. If you start from rovaniemi sincerely the price paid and the road traveled, it is not worth it. The zoo is big (thankfully) and often you don't even see the smaller animals. Excellent instead the restaurant inside. It is all you can eat with typical Finnish dishes and not, very good (selfie service) at about 18 euros per person with drinks included (no soft drinks). I recommend cmq to take a walk but it will be the cold suffered and the size of the place everything has been a bit too dispersive to be slightly disappointed.
