• Solheimajokull Glacier - The next destination is Sólheimajökull, an outlet glacier descending from Iceland’s fourth largest glacier, Mýrdalsjökull. It takes approximately 20 minutes to walk from the parking area to the glacier. Visitors can choose to walk all the way to the glacier or stop halfway to admire the glacier and river views.
• Dyrholaey - This dramatic coastal promontory offers breathtaking views of the South Coast, black sand beaches, and the iconic Dyrhólaey arch. It is an ideal location for birdwatching, including puffins during the summer months (May - August). Please be aware that the road to Dyrhólaey may be closed in winter due to weather conditions.
• Black Sand Beach - The next stop is Reynisfjara black sand beach, featuring the Reynisdrangar rock formations and columnar basalt. It is one of Iceland’s most spectacular beaches, once ranked among the world’s top 10 most beautiful places. The basalt columns and famous Reynisdrangar rock formations are a must-see.
