A wonderful day - A truly wonderful day capped off with the gude taking us to a place with big waves where we saw may dolphins jump out of the water. Mzke sure you have good water shoos for the work to shore, the water close to share is too shallow for the bout.

Wonderful Full Day Tour - At first, I wasn't sure about an 8-hour tour. It sounded a long trip. But it was a well planned and fun trip. They picked us up at our resort dock. Didn't see the dolphins at the first stop but that was okay. The snorkeling was great. The pink sand beach had a lot of small sharks swimming around you - very cool. The blue lagoon had the prettiest blue you would see. The BBQ lunch was delicious. The only down side was that they all mainly spoke French. One of the guys could speak a little bit of English. So we probably did not get the "full" picture. But it was a fun trip regardless.

Great experience - A superb excursion with really great and passionate companions to discover the beauty of Rangiroa and particular of the blue lagoon.
Beautiful and unforgettable with small lemon sharks as a bonus in some harmless places but which totally changes us. Great experience

Blue lagoon - We visited some very beautiful places and had a great time. It seemed like we spent more time in some of the less interesting places and not as much time in some of the more interesting places. But overall, I really was happy to go on this excursion and see these beautiful sites.

Highlights and Drawbacks: What to Know Before Taking the Blue Lagoon Tour - This tour includes some beautiful locations, but overall I’m not sure it was worth the additional cost—mainly due to the long, rough boat ride and limited time at the Blue Lagoon itself.
It takes about an hour by boat each way from the main island (where cruise ships dock and the airport is located) to reach the Blue Lagoon. On our day, the water was very choppy, especially on the return trip. The boat was moving at high speed, and we were continuously splashed. The constant pounding over the waves eventually caused a headache for me, and when the boat stopped, the motion made several people feel nauseous. The crew did pull down a plastic side covering on the wet side of the boat and provided rain jackets, which helped.
The Blue Lagoon itself is very beautiful, and the small island where we had lunch was nice. However, we arrived around 10:15–10:30 a.m. and did not leave until about 2:45 p.m., yet we were only actually at the Blue Lagoon for roughly 40 minutes. There really wasn’t any snorkeling there. We did see the pink sand areas and spent time watching the baby sharks in the shark nursery, which was interesting, but much of the time was spent waiting—either for lunch or to get back on the boat.
After returning to the main island, we went to the dolphin viewing area. Dolphins are wild animals, and they simply weren’t there that day—no fault of the tour company. Once it was clear there were no dolphins, we went to the aquarium, which ended up being the highlight of the entire day. This is where we actually snorkeled, for about 20 minutes, and it was incredible. The coral and fish life were amazing—easily the most fish I’ve ever seen in one place. Everywhere I moved, there were schools of fish, with many different varieties. At one point I was surrounded by what felt like over 1,000 fish. I would have happily spent much more time there.
The crew was excellent—friendly, polite, and very helpful—and I had no issues at all with the condition of the boat or their professionalism. That said, there was another boat running the same tour that was faster, and that group was able to do an additional reef stop that we did not get to do and spent much less time in the blue lagoon because our team was fixing lunch, which was disappointing.
If you choose this tour, I strongly recommend confirming that you’re on the faster boat. I would also caution anyone with back issues, mobility concerns, or a tendency toward seasickness due to the long and rough ride.
If I were to do it again, I would probably skip the Blue Lagoon and pink beaches. While they are what this area is most known for, the distance, rough crossing, and lack of snorkeling time made it feel less worthwhile. I would instead look for reef locations closer to the main island and spend more time snorkeling at places like the aquarium, which was truly outstanding.
A beautiful day—some amazing sights, some sobering realities, and a few unexpected highlights.

Beautiful lagoon but poorly organized tour made it not worth the effort - The lagoon was beautiful, but we spent little time, maybe 45 minutes max there. The great majority of the time we spent on the other side of the island just sitting there waiting for food or instructions which never came (The food was delicious, by the way.) The guides barely spoke or understood English, so we had very little communication and had no idea what was happening next. Turns out nothing much happened. We just sort of sat there on the non-lagoon side of the island. The snorkeling at the aquarium was fantastic but way too brief at 20 minutes. And the looooong ride to the lagoon was very rough and uncomfortable. I wouldn’t do the tour again

We haven’t really done... - The day didn’t go as planned and the program lacked a bit of pace, with a lot of Waiting time. When visiting Bird Island, there was very little explanation – perhaps because the majority of the group was English-speaking and the guides were not totally comfortable with English, which is understandable but a little frustrating because the place is beautiful and deserves to be better explained.
The braiding workshop was advertised, but in the end the guides simply weaved hats on their side without showing or inviting the group to participate. It would be great to be able to learn to braid yourself, especially since there were several timeouts where it would have kept everyone busy.
The aperitif and meal were supposed to be music, but unfortunately, no ukulele or musical Mood.
On the other hand, the food was excellent and the scenery really beautiful throughout the day.
The snorkeling at the blue lagoon was pleasant but a little long, because there is not much to observe. We didn’t have the chance to see the dolphins by the way, which is part of the game with nature, but we also didn’t have the opportunity to snorkel in the way, when the conditions seemed good and the current was in.
In summary, an excursion in a splendid setting, with a very good meal and a beautiful navigation, but which could become exceptional with a little more explanations, interactions and coherence with the announced program.
